Your favourite Tea bag .....

    PUNJANA.

Ad a serious tea drinker, I am currently in love with the Punjana tea bag. There, I've said it, and I'm not ashamed. This beautifully packaged bag does it for me every time ... and I'm addicted.

Yes I've had affairs with Barry's, Mr Tetley, Lyons, Bewleys, PG Tips, Yorkshire tea, Lipton's etc, but currently I am totally hooked & addicted to Punjana ....

So what's your favourite tea bag?

Telteys, PG TIPs, Yorkshire Tea?!? TRAITOR! :D ....Do you remember a few years ago Lyon's did a Gold Blend Reserve Tea - it was in a gold box unsurprisingly enough. That was my favourite tea ever, but they've stopped making it as far as I know.

Also had Robert Roberts one there a while back and it was nice - gold blend i think.

Never really tell the difference. I do leave the tea bag in for at least 4mins

Aldi best. No idea what it's called.
Didn't like the taste of Punjana or Lyons. Can just about stomach barrys in whatever cafes serve it.

I'm liking Lidl Knightsbridge Assam tea bags. Apparently it's a rich blend with a strong and malty flavour.

It is of course personal choice, so you may not have the same love for them as I do, one mans meat is another mans ... and all that jazz.

Some of the larger Tesco stores stock it.

I also went through a phase of being totally addicted to Earl Grey tea many moons ago!

Yorkshire tea is a proper cuppa. But not that easy to get.

Bewley's Gold tea bags, best ever!

Tesco finest blend are grand in terms of taste and certainly not inferior to the more expensive alternatives.

I love punjana too. And Lyons gold blend. Barry's no taste. Aldi tea gives me heartburn. And yes I'm also partial to earl grey. Must find and try some Yorkshire tea. I liked Tetley's too many moons ago. As you can see I've no loyalty with tea. My choice changes as my palette does methinks.....

Bewley's gold blend or special blend. Both make really tasty tea.

    Are the Special Blend strong?

I'm a Barry's fan but the nicest tea I've tasted has to be Cafe Sol. No idea what brand it is but it's good!

PG And Lyons are basically the same. Both made by Unilever, same bag too.

Yeah they are. I only got them one day because they were out of gold blend but they're strong and tasty aswell. I only discovered the bewley's around a year ago. I used to love Lyons gold blend but when you taste them again after drinking bewley's for a while it tastes like weak enough tea.

    Sugar too?

sometimes I add both (only half a spoon of sugar though.)

NOT A HOPE!!! Tiny drop of milk. Anythin more than a teaspoon is sickening. Strong. No Sugar.

My girlfriend has some f*cked up tea habits which I put down to the fact that they're not big tea drinkers in her country. She uses these real cheap artificial sweetener tablets and has been known to heat tea in the microwave. I drank her tea by mistake one day and nearly got sick. Had to have a word with her about that carry on. She's stopped with the microwave but the artificial sugar is still in the press.

We enjoyed Lyons fresh morning blend for a few months. Think it was only a limited run as the batches all had the same September expiry date.

I had some Sainsburys Quality Tea . It was excellent .

I forget the exact name but some sort of Sainsbury's Quality .

    Tea should be drank black.

Bewley's, punjana and particularly Typhoo are all fine teas.

Lately I've been rotating Lidl's Fallon Reserve Blend with the Knightsbridge Breakfast Blend.

Twinings make excellent teas too. I'll get more of theirs again

I once heard somewhere that triangular tea bags make better tea, why? because the tea leafs can swirl & percolate much better in the triangular space provided. (Square & round bags are flat) whilst the triangular bag is three dimensional.

I'm tempted to say 'poppycock' & hogwash > it's just a tea bag for goodness sake, or might there be some theoretical truth in it?

Barry's teabags are my fav, Lyons my second choice and when I'm abroad and can get neither PG Tips seem to be available in every country I've been too.

I use two teabags per cup and like my tea to go really brown then I add a ton of full fat milk.

Tetley's and Typhoo are my favourites.

I think Iceland sell it, along with Typhoo and Tetleys.

Aldi's McGraths in the green box.

I used to love the Lyons in the green box but McGraths are so much nicer.

Barry's (the red box) is nice too but still prefer McGraths.
