Help! GoT Westeros Map for Seating Plan Background

    Hi folks,

Hoping this is the right forum. We ordered a poster to use as a backdrop to seating plan for our wedding coming up (less than 3 weeks time). We ordered it a while back and it seems like we probably won't get it in time for the big day.

We're looking to copy this design more or less, size A1, pinning cards to represent the tables on to the poster.

What would be the best place to get this done at this point, what would my options be?

    Thanks,
    Nalz.

Should pick up a poster handy enough.

Would something like this do the job?

If you know anyone who's at all handy with image editing software, it should be relatively straightforward.

You can download a full world map here: (warning 5.5MB)
    http://www.sermountaingoat.co.uk/map/versions/speculative_map.jpg

Then just crop that down to the size that you want. Cut and past the GoT logo onto the bottom; if you want. Any local printer should be able to print one out for you inside of 48 hours.

If you had a decent colour printer you could find a image of it or the image linked above, and use this... https://rasterbator.net/

    Thanks Seamus, and co :)

Just a question on the 5.5MB jpg... do you reckon if cropped to just Westeros (the land to the left on the map) would be of decent quality to print out in A1 or A0? Cheers again.

I just did a quick test.

I've attached the cropped image, as well as the raster (had to upload the rasterized image to dropbox as boards doesn't allow attachments over 5MB)

EDIT: you can see it does lose some of its clarity.

EDIT 2: This map seems to be a little better.

Thanks me_irl. That second pdf in dropbox, can I just rock into somewhere in Dublin and get that printed to the size I want? Thinking A1 or A0. Again sorry for the slow/silly questions and cheers for the help :)

I prefer that "cursive" version too!

You could, but if you're going down that route I'd go in with the original image instead of the PDF.

That "rasterbator" (I try to type that with a straight face every time), program actually splits the larger A1 size down to multiple a4's so you can print it off that way. But it that looked too messy, there's no harm in dropping in with the image file to any print shop.

Thanks a mill! Any print shop suggestions in Dublin city centre?

Maybe try screenlink printers, it's kind of hidden away but they do pretty decent pricing, I used to go to Aungier print but I use these now: https://www.google.ie/search?q=Screenlink+Printer+Dublin&ludocid=10368839235362052544&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjXk47EiY7WAhUCJcAKHa-wBiAQ_pABCBcwAA
