Delay when Searching for games.

    I have noticed it a lot more on my laptop then my desktop, but when i search for a game like rocket league or hearthstone.

    On rocket league when i click search for match its instant on my laptop it will freeze for about 10 seconds then continue on fine.

    This does not happen on my desktop.

    On hearthstone i search for a game and it will search fine but when it finds someone it will like freeze until the game starts this happens on both laptop and desktop.

    If im Honest i really think its my internet in my parents house in my old place i had much better internet and newer cables coming into the house and cant say i ever noticed the freezing.

    In my parents place the phone line coming in hasn't been touched for as long as i can remember. So i would say the phone lines have not been checked in roughly 15 years.

    Over time could the cable just be wore out and causing packet loss ? or am i going way off what this could be xD

    I generally keep my machines running as best as they can, all drivers updated i don't download crap, regular virus checks and benchmarks.
