Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As someone said in the (Adverts that you despise thread) it's a good ad for contraception.

That ad makes me want to rip my tv off the wall and wrap it around the head of the person who approved that ad

I'd seen the advert in question mentioned elsewhere and thought "aye, usual exaggerated reaction on social media". Looked it up on YouTube just now -

The hell were they thinking? It's jarring right from the time it starts!! :pac:

Little kid hysterically excited at highly anticipated new toy squeals loudly in delight.

I think I'll get over it.

As long as it's just on YouTube now, and that child is not allowed anywhere near an airplane (there is a thread on kids on airplanes...) I'ts fine.

They all seem to scream now anyway because no one will tell them to shut the F up anymore.

Try listening to it when you can hear the telly from another room.
    Unnerving, frightening.

A excited toddler is frightening and unnerving?

    Ah here.

I've been through many a xmas morning and birthdays with my two and if they screamed hysterically like that I'd be very very worried.

Any kind of toddler is frightening and unnerving. :pac:

Haven't seen the ad though - Sky+ was invented for this reason.

    Ah here.

That is not excitement. That is a demonic possession.
Call the priest, there is an exorcism to be performed.

It could be worse i suppose.
She could be screeching OH NO OH NO OH NO

It's horrible. I agree it doesn't sound like excitement at all and is indeed unnerving and very unpleasant to listen to.

I was just saying the same but I reckon it's their aim. Memorability through causing annoyance.

Or discuss the subject matter, as one does on a discussion forum.

Fortunately my parenting skills are above telling a child, mine or anyone else's, to shut the F up. Much easier, more effective ways of getting a child to calm down.

Drugging them is not one before you suggest it :)

I don't think it's a big deal or that it's annoying. A little kid is hysterically excited on tv for about 30 seconds. If it annoyed me, I'd mute it.

There you go, that about covers it.

I dont think its a big deal either. But i do find it annoying. As do some others it seems. Ok good talk

I'm too lazy to walk to the tv and turn the volume down though.
