Lads I haven't a clue what order to put this picking order with all the newbies and without being too harsh, only a handful of very good players who I'd be putting as last picks.

Would anyone be opposed to a random draw? Yes it might end up with the weaker players getting low picks and stronger players getting earlier picks but I'm not sure what to do.

I’m grand with a random draw.

Another option if there are a few very good players, you could always omit them from the random draw and add to the end of the pick order.

Maybe for first league just go fully random though. I’m easy either way.

Some of the new players could be really good as well though so a random draw is definitely the fairest way.

I'm new to the league so I'll fall in line with whatever is decided but in case it helps, here are my thoughts …

As you've said, there is no accurate way to seed the list of players so there really is no fair option but to have a random draw.

However to avoid the situation where the better players end up with the better teams leading to an unbalanced competition before a virtual ball is kicked, my recommendation is to return to what you did last season and exclude the best teams from the selection pool.

Looking at the database at https://www.pesmaster.com/pes-2019/ these are the strongest club teams based on overall ratings …

Juventus, Barca, Real Madrid - 85
Atletico Madrid, Man City - 84
Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, PSG - 83
Arsenal, Spurs, Inter, Napoli - 82
Milan, Roma - 81

Those are the teams with the majority of the superstar players which could be lethal in the wrong hands. All other teams have a rating of 80 or below. If I'm a weak player and I'm facing a capable player playing as Barca, I feel beaten before I start. However if I'm facing someone playing as Schalke (80) it's not as daunting so it's more fun for me.

TLDR …. a random draw is the way to go, but exclude the best teams from selection to avoid obvious imbalances.

So of the regulars here, who do you determine as the stronger players of our group?

Going off league and cup winners, Walter.White and Beastermc are up there although we've lost Koolhanger. Who else have you found to be one of the stronger players?

I don't mind what way your work it. Random draw seems fine to me. I like the idea of removing the stronger teams though I appreciate that takes some of the fun of having a Ronaldo or Messi out of it.

Starting picks tonight. Looking like a random draw with a few handpicked lads from previous leagues left out of the draw and put at the end. Will try post up the order before 9pm.

Won't have time to do up a video of the draw like last time but seeing as my random draw put me 10th pick or so in the first league, rest assured I won't cheat!

Pretty much ya. I think the rest of the lads myself included can be hot and cold sometimes! I'll go back to seeding the picks depending on how everyone gets on in this league

Can the top 8 picks PM their top 3 picks in preference order when the get a chance.

Remember, starting at 9am tomorrow you have 6 hours to pick your team. As soon as a team is picks, the clock resets. Anyone who doesn't pick a team goes to the end of the queue

I tried to start a game there with kingosh_ and just wouldn't let me join, throwing up an error MXNV266.

Network I'm on is NAT type 3 so it might be the issue.

Can play random friendlies but can't open or join a room.

Will keep trying but may stop me joining the league and/or playing friendlies for 2/3 weeks...

I'll keep delving.

Ive been kicked at least once a gaming session during a game with one of those messages.

Happens the once, i 'lose' the game but after it doesnt happen till i reboot the game again the next day. Its odd

That error though is not even letting me accept a match invite though or create a room. Will try again tomorrow and hopefully is a glitch.
