Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure ) is 2,248.

If I restrict myself to 1750 calories a day, leaving me in a calorie deficit of just under 3500, will I loos a pound a week. Is it really that simple?

It may not be that simple but you should lose weight.

Calories in vs calories out is a model not an ecat formula, per se. If it doesn't work like you imagined, tweak one of the variables

Yes. Willpower to make the right choices and accuracy (and/or honesty) in recording what you eat are the hard bits, in my opinion and experience.

As you lose weight you will need to continuously recalculate your TDEE as it will drop as you weight goes down. To keep with the 1lb a week loss you will need to always have a circa 500/day deficit.

Yeah, bookmark the site you used for TDEE (or do a speadsheet of the calculation). What I did was updated my TDEE/ Deficit and my goal on myfitnesspal straight after weekly weigh in.
