Like I might accidentally kill some borg wolfs. I'm ok with that
ejecting the core is a safety mechanism to save the ship if the core is misbehaving and going to blow.
The ship needs to run on impulse engines until it gets the core back or finds another.
It in no way would help our cause of killing borgwolves.0 -

Our issues with the transporter continue today. In a horrifying death, Crewman Yosserooney exploded shortly after his re-materialisation. The medical team inform me that this was due to some energy microbes that became trapped in the transporter beam with the crewman. These microbes infected the unfortunate crewman and quickly multiplied until they overwhelmed his body and burst out of his chest.

Bang.
The universe began. A swirling chaos of atoms, gases, particals, elements and energy. Expanding outwards and outwards, to the edges of what we know as reality.
Then there was Space Donkey.
Space Donkey was there when the Earth first formed. Space Donkey was there when the primordial ooze congealed. Space Donkey was there when man took his first steps. Space Donkey was there when the first Starship left Earth orbit.
Space Donkey is everything. He is life itself.
He watched with interest as a Galaxy Class ship turned on itself. He watched as they slowly killed themselves. He watched as the Borg assimilated the whole crew and took the ship for their own. He watched with amazement as they marched towards defeat. While the ship had a name, he renamed it in his omnipotent head as the USS IDIOT VILLAGE.
The Borg have reached parity and have assimilated all villagers. We are all Borg now. Bagsie the good regeneration alcove.
