Jeff Piotrowksi is online at the moment.

I think he is down near where the eyewall is expected to come on shore

Been watching him for the last hour or so and watched him throughout Harvey, he's great. None of the sensationalised crap like you get from the networks, he's for real.

Yeah Jeff is a legend, loved on periscope too.
There is also a few good streams on this site too https://livestormchasing.com/map

Watching a cam from Brickell, Miami. The flooding looks pretty bad.

''Tis has on here and a little confusing.

One post saying it's barely a category 1 now and the worst has passed to it's still a category 4 and Naples will be destroyed!!

Is it safe to say that the wind impact at least at this stage won't be as bad as originally feared but the sea surge may still be yet pretty devastating?

I don't get the 'blue shed' comments.

There was a Blue Shed in a Harvey Live Stream I think that put up a hell of a battle against the winds, it's been a recurring theme in the last few weeks since!

Yeah, the water surge is apparently hours after the eye passes, and is preceeded by a big drop in water level, so if there's flooding there already, then it's going to get much much worse.

Initial 5pm NOAA update has it still at Cat.4. Would be surprised if this lasted much longer to be honest.

While it's amazing the insight we can get from our sofas nowadays, all this fella needs is one piece of metal or slate to hit his car windscreen and he's in deep trouble. Unless of course he has reinforced windows on his car which I really hope he has.

If that fella had any cop, he would use the car in the background to lean up against to prevent himself from blowing over, though I suppose it is all about the dramatics for the audience.

That guy has a death wish, crazy what people do for a bit of internet fame.

Yeah but as far as I can see, stations on the ground are only recording storm force. Key West is the strongest I could find and that maxed out at 61kts, not even cat1 never mind 4. I'm sure there's other data that will come to light later but with such a big discrepancy I find it hard to believe its still a cat4

The eye still hasn't made landfall. That's expected in the next 2 or 3 hours and that's where the strongest winds are

Gusts north of Miami 109mph which is a long way from eye wall so I really doubt it's a CAT 1

I believe Jeff has been chasing storms long before the internets came around.
He indeed lives an interesting life, and it is great to see these weather events documented like he does, especially with live streaming platforms available.

Strongest winds are, to the right of the eye.
