we have a wreck the gaff culture when it comes to homes outside the responsibility that goes with ownership
when not paying rent or looking after the house antisocial etc is acceptable why would the government want to be a LL
the above does not imply all but a significant number

anti-social behaviour is not acceptable. anti-social behaviour is a scurge and the authorities are refusing to tackle it.
anti-social behaviour has nothing to do with ownership of the house but the fact some people are just scum. they could own the house and still trash it because that is who they are. the behaviour is on the person.
the government can implement vetting in relation to who gets a social house (they should be doing that anyway) with anyone involved in anti-social behaviour housed together in specialist non-maintenence accommodation where resources can be used to tackle their issues.
leaving things as they are, relying on the private rental market and hotels, not dealing with the issue of anti-social behaviour, will not work and the people demand the issues be dealt with.

proof please. can you read minds now? they are correct to want to be housed in the area with the most resources to deal with them, which all ready exist, meaning we don't have to spend multiple billions inplementing resources else where to deal with them.

    Want is not need

    Preference is not need

Taxpayers and government are under no obligation to fund or provide either want or preference

need is need however. tax payers and government have an obligation to fund need and have an obligation to get value for that money, meaning people are put where the resources are, and not where they aren't and where it would cost a lot more to implement them then if they were put where they do exist.

Was reading an Irish Times article on FB yesterday where some deluded fool suggested he should have still been looked after even though he was a paedo who infected women with HIV.

Even lefties disagreed with her on that one.

She might be singing from a different hymn sheet if it was herself that was infected or assaulted by that POS.

i'd doubt she would. you seem to have this belief that people flipflop opinions. it hardly ever happens. also, i presume you will be able to prove that lefties did disagree with her? i'm sure they did but seeing as you claimed to know who were left and right it would be interesting to see some breakdown of the figures of how many were left, right, or in the centre, if possible?

I have read and re-read this a few times and have concluded that you are taking the p**s or else you are as deluded as the author of the piece in the IT.

You did read what I wrote didn't you?

I hate having to spoonfeed posters but I'm feeling charitable this evening so here goes.

I said she would think differently if she was one of the people assaulted or infected and your response was "I'd doubt she would".

Just let that sink in for a few minutes before we proceed any further.

As for who is a leftie it's easy to see from the comments section attached to the article, at least I have no problem working it out anyway.

nothing to sink in, she obviously has an opinion and is able to stick to that opinion.

it's not no . you can only supposibly work it out because you want them to be lefties. in reality they may be right wing or centrist with differing viewpoints like other normal people.
