Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Irish documentary about the Voyager probes.
This is being shown on RTE One tonight at 10:15 pm. Looks interesting.
I have not seen it yet was going to go to the cinema see it but just have not got the chance to. Am debating whether to watch it on RTE or not. Would much prefer to watch it on the BBC as there would be no add breaks and I think they adds could ruin it.

Any chance off the BBC showing it anytime soon?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Opening credits said that RTE, ZDF, ARTE and BBC were co-producers, so presume all will show it in 2017.

    Fantastic production, truly fantastic.

    Have to agree.

And broadcast 40 years to the day since Voyager 1 was launched.

So I watched it and recorded it and intend to watch it again this weekend. The add breaks on RTE were not too bad at all. It is truly amazing that they are still going and how far they have traveled. If everything that us Humans made lasted as long then the World would be in a much better state than it is currently in I think.

    Yes they are nuclear powered.

When we, and indeed the earth are long long gone, the Voyager probes will still most likely be hurtling through the vast emptiness of space.

And who knows, maybe in a few billion years, will be found by intelligent life.

I really enjoyed it too......well what I saw, I had just come off shift and couldn't keep my eyes open and had to stop watching. Hope to catch it again fully when less tired, it really was a fantastic and awe inspiring documentary.

Saw it in the cinema a few weeks ago, it's absolutely astounding.
