Ashbourne Athletics Club?

Quick question - is there an athletics club in Ashbourne and if there is would it be an active one? Moving to the area and hoped there was a club there but if not reckon I'll join Dunshaughlin down the road which have a great club by all accounts.

I'm not sure if there's a club in Ashbourne, I don't remember seeing one at any of the local county races either but FWIW, Dunboyne is almost as close to Ashboure as Dunshaughlin and you'd be very welcome to come and check out our club there .

Cushinstown is about 10 minutes by car north of Ashbourne, just off the N2.

St. Andrews is the athletic club in Ashbourne, just outside in Greenogue

Never knew of St Andews existence. Anyone here a member or familiar with them? They seem to have a decent sized juvenile section which could all train on the track there. However the roads around the area don't really lend themselves to running so just wondering when/where the adults go for their longer runs.

Yeah that's why I asked the question. From looking at Facebook they appear to only have a junior section and wasn't sure if they've any seniors. Dunboyne have a very active club and dunshaughlin too by the looks of things.

They mention on their facebook page that adult training is Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:15.

Maybe drop them a message on Facebook, you could always try out all 3 clubs and see which fits better for you.
