In fairness they did say last Friday that there were plenty of announcements over the coming days, and they didn't announce that they would be putting out B&S or Other Voices earlier in the week they just did it. Although I do find it strange that nowhere else is reporting it...

Ah stop. It’s today guys today.

In other news a shuttle bus carrying my friends to ATN got lost and they are stuck while he is on the phone to his mate trying to find the way

12pm news and entertainment on 2fm has come and gone. Nothing. There’s no announcement today is there? Santa really is a dick

Leinster Express do seem to have an "in" with the organisers so I'm optimistic.

There's usually a leaked press release aswell. In recent years anyway I've seen the line-up before the official announcement. Although that was probably just the 1st main line-up announcement

Jim Carroll used to be great for dropping names early...

Don’t suppose they could be waiting till Monday to overshadow good reports of ATN or sound like the better alternative after negative reports from ATN?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,164 ✭✭✭Bigbagofcans

Names could be released at 3pm for all we know..

  • Registered Users Posts: 578 ✭✭✭Blackie_IRL

Unless they have to wait till Indie or ATN officially open gates. If there are acts from both festivals to be announced on next lineup

I remember ep announcing as we were pitching at B&S last year which would’ve been around 2

Putting all previous differences aside, can we now agree that not knowing who is playing 4 weeks before a festival is a crock of shyte?

they will announce the headliners but not announce most of the line up till a month or so before , that's happened on multiple occasions

Regularly happens there. In 2016 they announced Tame Impala, Damon Albarn, Christine & the Queens and many others three weeks before the fest.

I think at this stage we'll be tent pitching on festival Friday while waiting for updates on twitter.

    no they don't.

they have the main names on the 6 big televised stages out in April.

most of the lineup isn't out until end of May/June:

Transmission and Body & Soul announcements were at 1pm, no?

Other Voices and Tesco dinner was closer to midday.

    May be time yet.

Did I miss the part where Friday ends at midday?

I'm stepping away for a bit before I become "charlie_day_meme.jpg"

Incorrect. 2005 the Guardian published the line up quite late, only year we’ve not had all key performers at this stage.
