Completely forgot about Xur this weekend, thankfully they've extended it as there was one thing I wanted.

Picked up the Machaneer’s Tricksleeves from Zur yesterday. A half hour later my clan XP reward comes in; another set of Machaneer’s Tricksleeves...

Neither of them did anything for my LL either.

I've seemed to be getting more exotics than most, but it been that arms a lot.

Well I know for week 1 he was still there until reset and even beyond. Wasnt sure if it was a glitch or not. Not like Xur has anything good for me now in anyway unless its one of the 4 exotics I dont have yet.

He was there last night to, I'm guessing he stays until reset.

Found it pretty poor to be honest.

Sorry! It dropped at 278 (when I was 259!) so I was well pysched. But it's got vicious recoil and when it's finished its big burst it's well off target. Went back to my 262 scout after doing two strikes with it.

wonder if it becomes a more usable and deadly gun with a counter balance mod on armor?

On the Warlock Helmet - when it says void damage speeds class ability recharge - does that include void weapons?

Yes. Mtashed did a review on it not knowing this and gave it a 3/10 later changed to 8-9/10

for all my bitching in the other thread - this is one of the things I love about the exotics in D2. They aren't really OP, but you can make them awesome if you change your playstyle or loadout to get the most from them.

If they aren't going to do much actual damage they need to have a massive blast radius - so that you can do decent damage to a group of players, if not kill with one hit.

I do like the idea behind them. I like that there are very different types. Ones that stick, ones that bounce, ones that go on proximity. A nice variety of play styles and use cases, but they just aren't really viable.

Depending on the map, SMG + Uriels would be preferable if you have Knucklehead I reckon.

well no - a RL can one hit kill one, or multiple enemies.

A grenade launcher would (in my example) deal damange over a larger radius but lower damage numbers.

Man you just need to learn how to use them. I was using a few of the Legendary launchers at the start in PvP and I liked them

My 5.92 in trials has been rectified but I still have screenshots so its all good :P

Ah the launchers just need practise to get used to in fairness. I had no RL and I put the fusion I was using into the vault (It was like a sniper rifle fusion) and cant remember which one it was so went with a launcher, a few games of experimenting were had and after a while I was killing the feckers all over the shop with it. I only used it for a few days before I got he raid RL. I might go back to launcher over the weekend and try a few of them how and see how it goes.

Xur brings with him Sweet Business and Winters Guile this week.

Sweet Business is a weapon I have wanted since Beta - so looking forward to trying it out.
Winters Guile is apparently super fun as a voidlock. With devour it can make you an unkillable melee killing machine.

Same here!! I’ve got everything else multiple times, except for that sweet sweet business! Zur is useful again!! For me any way

Are Winter's Guile the punchy punchy gloves? If so I have them and haven't even equipped them although I had infused them to 305 on hearing of their awesomeness.


Xur's been a largely redundant character for me in D2 thanks to the abundant ways you can get exotics to drop. He was a major influence on my young characters in D1.

I don't find exotic drops abundent at all. Just my own RNG experiences. Have not got an exotic drop from the last 20+ public events, no drop better than a blue from Cayde staches in the last 3 weeks. One exotic from the last 4 raids. May have got a repeat exotic or two from milestones over the last 2 weeks.

Haven't had a 'new' exotic drop since week 3 or so - everything has been a duplicate of a previous drop or duplicate of a mission reward/xur purchase.

I ground the hell out of public events early on like really really. Have got a good few from clan and powerful engrams. Public Events still drop regularly enough for me when I do them but I think I have most of them at this point. Think I bought one thing from Xur which was the knucklehead radar which subsequently dropped a few days later.
