I've never used Glass Needles, is this really a thing? Does it change the INT/DIS/STR or can you change perks?

both - i've used it a few times to try up the quality of armor.

Really handy way of getting a decent roll on exotic armour considering the amount of XP it takes to level armour.
One thing to note is that they are still bound by the armour talent spread. some armour e.g. Ophidian Aspects will always roll with Strength. So, be careful not to waste the needles looking for an INT/DIS split.

If you get a piece of exotic armour with a good stat roll (95%+) glass needles are invaluable.

Managed to roll a few pieces to have all the Perks and Stats I wanted

Good to know. I always thought Glass Needles will change Int/Dis...

Worth noting - you can still get T12 with "Silver" gear (less than 90% roll in some cases) exotic gear. I can hit T12 with my gloves that are 84%. All of my other gear are "Gold" as per Ishtar Commander, (95% or greater rolls).

They can.

You could go 95% INT/DIS to 95% DIS/STR

Depending on the exotic armour that is. Some of the have their stat types "locked in" so for example, maybe you physically cannot get a Obsidian Mind without INT

I'm convinced glass needles change the quality too. I'm sure I changed my main titan exotic to gold this way.

They do. I did the same and used the glass needles to get my exotic armour up to gold tier.

I remember having an exotic go up in value, but I was drunk and wasn't sure I could stand over the info

Of it does change it is random, so yeah up and down. Think I went through a load of them trying to up my armentarium

Ya, I've a lot of exotics I like but never use because they're poor quality. Might be worth spinning the wheel and seeing what I get.
