If you smell ass at home, don't ignore it , open all windows and doors. And the same goes if you smell ass on the street.

I never bought Brady Ham until this week because their old advert used to drive me mental. Anyway, I tried their smoked ham the other day and it was delicious.

I suspect Anna May McHugh wouldn't let Eddie onstage at the Ploughing if he was crossdressing.

I'm always getting Eddie Izzard and Julian Clery mixed up, I'm probably due an appointment with Specsavers :o

Ask him about The Avengers movie, with Sean Connery & Uma Thurman.

I watched it recently, could well be the worst film ever made.

The one thing Eddie Izzard and I have in common, we both badly need our grey roots covered up

Prince Charles waved at me in Kilkenny.

At least he was at a castle he didn't own.

The one thing me & Eddie Izzard have in common is that he ran a load of marathons in a row, and I watched a programme about him doing it.

Good NI accent to be fair to him.

He was a very cute child.

Eddie has bags under his eyes tonight.

He needs more make up, which isn't something I would usually say

Wishful thinking for that guy in the promo getting RTE Player on his laptop in Sydney.

You can barely get it from Holyhead Mountain :D

I can't get it in Sligo without going through all the ads. I expect, as a licence payer that I shoudn't have to go through that rigmarole. I live in (no)hope.

Ah you can't do that. Eddie is far superior as a comedian and actor. He/she's a very intelligent person.

Tubs zoning in on death and the Irish connection. Sticking to what he knows best.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

If there is misery to be had, Tubs insists on a double helping :(

It's just so annoying. Just so, so annoying.

Is he on to talk about his mother?

I am just glad the pipe bomb threat to the visit in Kilkenny was foiled.
It was such a nice day in Kilkenny.

Judi Dench was on The One Show on BBC1 during the week and there was no mention of death or illness at all.

Matt and Alex need to watch this and learn how its done.

I was never a fan of Keyes. She's a headwrecker and her books are woeful. Guaranteed she won't take a breath tonight.

I saw her on with Tubs a few years ago. The vibe between them was not good.
I got the impression he did not like her.

Eddie Izzard is a very funny intelligent witty man with a varied life full of interesting stories,

    this is a waste.

Yep, Tubbers going for the misery angle reminds me of the Savage Eye Joe Duffy skits. The idea behind it was spot on.

He always asks them about their connection to Ireland and I just realized its because he doesn't know what else to ask them...he just runs through a template of questions, with everybody, no interesting angles. What a dope.

You've a genuinely interesting man as a guest. One who has ran 20 marathons on 20 days, is a world renowned comedian and actor, someone who has done lots for charity. And you focus on the death of his mother.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,266 ✭✭✭✭Ash.J.Williams

    that was quick

What the fcuk is it about all RTE chat shows, there had to be misery and suffering in almost every programme. Yesterday, I had to turn off when D'arcy was speaking to a woman with early onset Dementia, her situation was tough enough but Ray handing of things was disgraceful.

It is a waste but I'd prefer poor interview with top class guest than (inevitably) poor interview with a reality star/RTE staffer

That was a strange and short interview. Did Eddie Izzard know he was entering a wannabe therapist's surgery?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,599 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Didn't know Ray Winstone had such a soulful voice.

I'm deciding whether or not to write every post in the style of WWE commentator to keep myself entertained.

Oh, by the way, it's also become blindingly clear to me why I seem to sink a bunch of beer every Friday night. I'm very tempted right now.

Marian Keyes has me blocked on twitter, her loss, I can still see all of those who block me with my other account.

I should state no one has blocked me for a while.

Must listen to that. My last 30 years have been filled with relating to people with one form of Dementia or another so I know a bit about to the topic. An early onset interview should be great if done well.

That reminds me, I saw the piano at Pearse Station during the week, the mix of users was basically professionals giving it loads to people walking by giving it a few taps of the keys.
