Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He's more suited to being a bus conductor than a top level manager. Remember England at the European Championships? Their most talented squad in years looking, in the end, like disorganised journeymen - humiliated by the mighty Iceland!
    Most talented squad in years?

I'd argue that Sven and Capello had better squads than him and they didn't do much better than he did. He has a better win record than the late Bobby Robosn had or Graham Taylor.

Some of the ridiculous comments that are made about him really annoy me. His record for the most part in management is a very good one.
Btw I'm a Blackburn Rovers fan and he didn't do well with us and played a big part in us getting relegated.

In fairness, England's "most talented squad" are looking more and more like journeymen, while the mighty Iceland continue to dish out humiliations.

Hodgson is much more suited to Crystal palace than De Boer. Players Crystal Palace have is very much made for managers like Hodgson and Big Sam. They won't and can't play patience build up possession style football.

The bus conductor beats defending champions.

    Say what? :p

Sacking De Boer has proved an inspired decision for Crystal Palace. Bar the Chelsea game blip they've been rotten. They got battered by Bristol City last night in the Caraboa Cup. The weekend's game against West Ham should prove very interesting. Both are playing awful, West Ham are only outside the relegation zone on goal difference. It could be Bilic's last game if West Ham lose. Will Crystal Palace sack Hodgson if they lose? Probably not, but he's done as bad as De Boer since he was appointed. They're at home for the WH game, if they lose that, they may as well start making preparations for playing in the Championship next year.

Had forgotten Roy's first match in charge was a home loss to Southampton...

The theme here is Palace going through a myriad of managers but failing to establish any foothold up the table. Eventually one of these changes won’t achieve the bare minimum and they’ll be relegated.

Zaha has been electric the last couple of months - interesting to see where he goes in the summer.
