    Hi guys

We're leaving the country in June, when would be the best time to put our house up for sale, given that we won't be in Europe and would like everything sold by the time we move?

    Thanks a mil

Depends on the area, in Dublin or the other major cities you'd have the house sold pretty fast, especially in a good condition. If you're rural it can take you a while. It's really about the location.
If you put it on the market just after Christmas you should be fine to have it sold if there aren't any issues and it's a straight forward sale.

Thanks LirW, that's what I thought, we're in Kildare (rural) so after Christmas sounds good.

If the house is in a good condition you can look around on how long sales usually take in the area. That's a good indicator for the local demand.

Start the process get some EA's to quote the selling it and they will give you a good indication of when to put it on the market and what you should do to the house to get it ready to sell
