Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Friday Mornings in Dublin Airport

Flying to Europe with EI next Friday. I am wondering is 70 minutes too short -/+ Fast Track Security. Aiming for Security between 04.45, flight departure 05.55. Will have checked in online, and I will only have a Carry-on.

Well used to flying, but I've never cut it this close...

    Opinions/Advice?

With fast track you'll probably be at your gate in 15 minutes from walking through the door.

Should be fine at that time,I did a 0555 departure before with 70 mins. 23 minute delay at security, ate breakfast and walked to T1 from 2. Just starting boarding as I arrived at the gate. No need for Fast Track.

No problem at all, airport is pretty much dead at that time if you arrive 4:45 would bet you will be at the gate at 5:00

Arrived 0507 last Monday was in the queue for the Aer Lingus lounge at 0515

I once walked into the airport at 0500 and was seated on the aircraft at 0520 :)

I walked in the door of T2 at 04:55 this morning, at 05:05 I was tapping the little green smiley face on the 'how did we do today' customer feedback thingy having breezed through security as I do most Monday mornings. I then walked over to T1 where my flight was departing from and the security area there seemed to be a lot busier and more chaotic (as it always is on a Monday morning).
That hour of the morning it's too early for the trans Atlantic passengers so it's mostly business people who know what they're doing and pass through security accordingly. Plan ahead though, scan the queue in front of you before you join it, watch out for old people, stag or hen parties, and people with small children, if you see any of those ahead of you, join another queue.
At that hour of the morning you don't need Fast track...

    Thanks lads,

So more or less my aiming is to start the clock at the Entry Door, and time how long it takes to get to the gate, including a Full Irish, and a photo of a pint!

Right. This should be fun. Stay posted :pac::D
