Can I get all "property-ownership correspondence" sent to me via electronic format?

I may be taking a job that will take me away from my property for 2 months at a time, so the house will be vacant.

I don't have anyone that I can leave the keys with to check for urgent post so are we at the stage now where I can get all correspondence sent to me via email?

    Letters I often receive are:

    - TV license renewal
    - City Bins correspondence
    - Bank of Ireland Mortgage information
    - AIB correspondence
    - AXA Home Insurance correspondence

    I'm sure there are others...

Sometimes you get a letter that says "respond urgently in the next 10 days", such as with mortgage correspondence.

Are companies obliged to offer electronic correspondence options?
What happens if I'm away and I don't respond?
