I got the call in Sept..... Sent in all documents requested..... Finished vetting too...have heard nothing and emails unanswered
Maybe there's people ahead of us who are still being processed?

What kind of documents outside of reference and vetting do they look for please

Depends on your circumstances. If you have been out of work they'll want a letter from Social Welfare or Revenue.... If you're at college they'll want a letter from them

    Hi,
I got my Garda vetting cleared, and last correspondence I had with PAS they were checking my refs. Batch 2. Have heard nothing now and it's been a week. I sent an email but no reply. Are all the contracts for Jan sent out now?.

    Thanks

Is it 1 year probation for a CO ?

No, I’ve heard nothing but considering the Christmas break that’s not that surprising.

I’d imagine they’re just getting back into the swing of things.

I got a call for interview. Batch 4.2 OOM In early 100’s

I am in batch 1.6 and still awaiting special clearance in regards to starting with the Guards. Anyone else in the same boat? Person from PAS told me to contact the Garda Civilian Human Resources Directorate by phone but can't find a number. Anyone been talking to them and do they give much update?

  • Registered Users Posts: 37 abellew

Just a quick question for those who filled out the supplementary application form. It’s looking for leaving cert results but I did mine over 20 years ago and I can’t remember the results what did you do

  • Registered Users Posts: 68 ✭✭EllG

Anyone here worked for the guards anywhere on capel street?

I just put down the subjects I done and left the results blank .I passed the interview and I'm in clearance now . I hope that helps

Think a couple of people said the same further back in the thread, could also check https://www.examinations.ie/?l=en&mc=ca&sc=sor if needed to request a replacement copy of results

Wow, it seems like people have been waiting for a start date long after their number has come up.

    I am batch 3 late 100s.
    Still waiting to hear.
Thing is i really want to get way on an extended holiday while i still have the freedom.
I'm sure they are almost at my number.
Wouldn't want to miss an offer on account of being away, or have to return early at extra cost either.

I actually rang them when i was going on holidays and they took note of it. I was a good month after hearing they reached my number before getting a start date and location

I emailed garda hr asking them if they could complete the special clearance soon and that it would be greatly appreciated as it has now been 19 weeks since I submitted it. I am definitely stressed out now lol.

Hence why they're hiring more Clerical Officers. You're applying for a job and criticising those working in the job you've applied for.

And I agree with you btw, I just mean it in the sense that you'll be on the other end in x amount of time which may give an insight into it.

Hi all I wonder if you can clear something up for me I am on this panel (interview next few weeks) but I am also on the panel for Louth in the 2018 campaign my OOM is in the early 30’s for Louth and for this panel I’m batch 4 early 100’s. if by chance I’m offer a position in Dublin before a position in Louth can I still stay on the Louth panel and when they reach my number accept a job in Louth or if your offered a job on the Dublin panel and accept do you have to give up all places on different panels

They're separate competition s so you can accept the Dublin post and it won't affect Louth then resign or transfer if offered louth
