So I'd love to teach Irish and Geography at secondary school! DCU allows you to study both of these together! However the site says Irish is taught at Intermediate Level, does this hinder you from teaching up until leaving Cert? Anyone in DCU able to help here?

I think what it means is that the course is not taught to beginners of the language, and that you would be expected to have a handy grasp of the language before you begin the course. As opposed to say Chinese, which I believe they offer from beginner level. It has nothing to do with what your teaching classes would be.
