Why don't RTE do a show about men choosing a pair of trousers for a wedding.

    Its Slackstrimony

Episode 1 of 29 is on Tuesday at 8pm on RTE1

How do you feel about turning 40 Tom? Oh, right. Grand.

Um. And then dying? That'll be soon, how do you feel about that?

Has that 'On Air' clock always been there? :O

Yeah I think one of the audience members asked for it to be put there to prove that time was not actually going backwards...

Vanessa Feltz is much more Tubs speed of guest. Tom is very considered and careful in his speech. Tubs is looking uncomfortable

I'm thinking Vogue and Brendan Courtney

As long as Gilbert O'Sullivan gets some royalties I'm on board.

Gilbert's great, I saw him a few years back. Much underrated.

Has Tom got lipstick on? His lips are a bit more red than seems normal.

Jaysis Tom, it's just a bleedin' film. You're not being dropped into Syria on a secret mission.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

Vanessa was classy, didn't get overly sidetracked by the Kevin Myers business and just got on with the interview.

I wouldn't agree with all her opinions but she's able to conduct a discussion very well and consider opposing views to her own on their merits. Which is not a talent required on Irish radio, alas.

The Irish have a habit of speaking their mind..................... once, and then losing their job because of the liberal outrage.

Twice he's said, "We'll return to that.".

    Wrong order on the checklist

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

The Late Late Show Band weren't there when this was recorded, their intro was dubbed in later.

Martina walked on only to the sound of the audience who weren't given any free wine. Boo!!

Tennis needs to be marketed properly, they need to do away with all the brutal clothing rules, let people wear whatever they want.
