Aren't big noses great...

Today I brought my daughter to the playground to meet her big-nosed friends with their kids. Also met my big-nosed cousin and his big-nosed partner and their little daughter. After that, I went to my big-nosed barber and to her delight he produced a lollipop.

And I thought, she'll grow up experiencing big-nosed people that I could only dream of when I was a child in white Catholic Ireland in the late '70s and '80s. And it felt good.

Just don't ask me why :P

That is just not true. Plenty of Jewish people have average and indeed small noses. Opining that Jewish people all have big noses is like saying that all Irish are red headed freckled pale skins. It's a stereotype and one often used by anti-semites.

Your moving the goal posts a bit there Conor. The post I responded to mentioned modern Western values, to me this means democracy, adherence to the rule of law, religious tolerance, equal rights, free speech and the like. Most of these values only came to be accepted in the West after WW2.

Obviously the western world shares a common Christian heritage, but it is certainly not the source of the rights mentioned above
