Motorway services near Arklow?

    Anyone know what's the story with the large service area off the M11 just south of Arklow. Passed by today and looks 'finished' but not in use? It'd be south of J21, near the old Scarnagh Cross.

    Is there some problem there?

    It has been built and ready to go for a good while now, only it's been held up in court to see which company will get awarded the contract between
    Applegreen, topaz etc.

    Thanks, looks like it's built about two years & deserted. A new services area, Topaz I think, was built & opened recently in jig time near the Tinryland junction outside Carlow. Must be good money to be made in these places.
