Anybody have a screenshot of the crowdsize? Apparently TG4 have decided that I'm not in Dublin, and are only showing me some rally footage instead.

Based on what I can see, I'd say that 1500 would be a generous figure for attendance.

Oof that's not good from Jordi either.

If memory serves Zebre have the record lowest turnout in recent years, something like 1400, open to be corrected.

That'd be extremely generous tbh from what I've seen.

Their attendances for SR weren't anywhere close to this bad, have the locals just zero interest in the pro12?

    McGrath smashing tackle

Pro14! You haven't been paying attention to the marketing

We're very disjointed. Unsurprising really, but it's not exactly making this a good game.

I'm in Dublin and I'm getting that too.

Are they allowed to obstruct from an offside position because of the money they're giving us or something?

Ruaidhri O'Connor says there's about 500 people in the stadium.

I can only count 200, the other 300 must be at the bar...:D

And the 200 includes the 30 players and officials.....!!!

    TG4 player showing some rally.
    Poor service from them.

Leinster are very poor so far. Backrow hasn't gotten into the game and we're a half second off when it comes to the pass and catch. Lots of moves are breaking down because our players have to check their runs. Kings are up for this but making lots of mistakes.

Does Ross Byrne model his kicking out of hand technique from Dan Biggar?
It looks remarkably similar. Right down to the foot bounce as his kicking foot lands

Kings aren't executing but they're making good decisions. If they start to stick the fundamentals they'll be a tough opponent.

The refs shorts are funny; tape over the Specsavers logo falling off, marker over the Rhino rugby logo and the 12 blacked out on the Guinness logo.

You'd think they'd have got them sorted by now.

Looks like a problem from the SA production company's side.

It's on actual TV I'm afraid. Though seems to be sorted now.

He just kicked the ball away.

    Well that was awful

It's not an actively terrible performance but it's very flat. Beige.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Leinster's work at the breakdown has been so poor.

  • Registered Users Posts: 740 ✭✭✭damianmcr

Didnt see any of it but thats a positive scoreline for the Kings.

Looks like there's a crowd of about 9 at this.

Coaching box looks like a cleaners store that has been left open.

Our back row is anonymous, jordi is struggling to match the pace and Ruddock has been strangely quiet.

Been impressed with James Ryan. Tackling and carrying strongly and always looks to get his hands free to offload.

Himself and McGrath were the only positives.

I suppose this isn't the worst game to give lads like Jordi and Joey some game time to get back in the swing of things, they look extremely rusty.

Poor Dave seems to be half asleep.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

We were starting to settle down towards the end of the half. A few small things not quite working out. Had Reid's kick been inches shorter tnwould have been perfect and put us in a great position. Had Luke been able to find Cronin on the wing he might have been away.

We've young and inexperinced props and locks. We've a flanker back for his first game in almost a year. We've a centre, a winger and a full back playing their first game of the season. We can't expect this to be a classic with that starting XV. If we can make a few things stick early in the second half we should be well able to win it and probably get the TBP.

Well that was an awful 40 minutes of rugby. Leinster seeming jet lagged.

Jesus it's a boring game to watch. Hopefully Leinster can play a bit in the 2nd half

    18 tackles missed , 77 made.

    That's very poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

I suppose expectations have to be tempered since it's so early into the season and we have a number of players making their seasonal debuts. Jordi and Dave have been poor. Carbery has been alright. Running well but his passing has been a bit off. McGrath and Ryan look sharp. Porter has been decent too.
