Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sad to hear of his death this week. I read The Ginger Man in my youth, and it's one of those few books that stays with you.
For anyone interested, tonight The Book Show replayed a 2014 interview with the great man.

The Ginger Man is a true classic, I think. Reread it last year or year before (60th anniversary or something like that) and was worried it wouldn't stand up second time around but it retained all the force and vibrancy of the first reading. Sadly, he never came close to scaling those peaks again.
