Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was doing the dishes this afternoon and I thought, what if I am completely different person than I think I am, and I think that only because I am off the other myself's head for a bit? Scary.

Why is there even a 12 hour am/pm option? Why isn't it just a 24 hour clock as standard?

Why is blue blue? Why is orange orange? And is my blue the same as your blue, your orange, or something completely different?

Do a reality check - do normal people wash dishes in the afternoon? Do you wash dishes (in the afternoon)? If you think they / you do, then yes, you are off your head.
And is my blue the same as your blue, your orange, or something completely different?
Likely similar to other people's blue, but not necessarily the same.

It's not even for someone to be honest with us , it's just to know how we come across to others , that's all, for me anyway .

If a man tells a joke in a forest and no one is around to hear, will the feminists still be offended?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

If a train leaves the station at 9am and is travelling at 90mph and another train in the opposite direction is travelling at 75 mph and leaves at 9:10 100 miles away. How angry is God

I think this is why we tend to hate hearing our own voices on a recording. I can't stay on the phone with someone if I can hear my own voice echoing a second later.

Likewise, I find I am critical of myself in film footage.

I am judging myself from the perspective of different person.

    You speak into a telephone.

Your voice travels down electric wires.

Your voice is perfectly reassembled at the other end.

    I can't fathom the science

It's perfectly simply really, sound is an analogue wave - a reverberation in the air if you will, the characteristics of that wave is coded into another type of data - a digital sequence - sent by positive feelings to the telephone where the Bird of Paradise who oversees the spiritual realm of communication, rides the moon chariot across the heavens, to he who is appointed by Hermes to the reassembly device. No mystery about it, and the voice is heard on the other phone.

Chuang Tzu in dream became a butterfly,
And the butterfly became Chuang Tzu at waking.
Which was the real — the butterfly or the man?
Who can tell the end of the endless changes of things?
The water that flows into the depth of the distant sea
Returns anon to the shallows of a transparent stream.
The man, raising melons outside the green gate of the city,
Was once the Prince of the East Hill.
So must rank and riches vanish.
You know it, still you toil and toil — what for?

    — Li Po.

Can anyone hear my inner thoughts?

The only voice in my head is my own voice.. should i be envious that 'other' people hear more than one voice?
