Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think that dating show on British TV kinda shows how low society has sunk these days.

The one where people are chosen on their sexual organs.

I do fear for the future and what are kids are going to see.

I don't know if it's a new low or anything like that. Surely it's just a logical progression from a woman wearing a short skirt, or showing a bit of cleavage when going out on the pull and so on.
I've seen a couple of them, it's a really boring show I find - if it hadn't got fannies in it, it wouldn't be worth watchingbiggrin.png
Case in point - I turn it straight off when the blokes come on!

    I'm confuzzled.

What could possibly be either the same or more physically intimate than sex?

I personally find kissing to be more intimate than sex.

When I was single, I'd shag anything that moved.
I'd be much more choosy about who id get smoochy with.

I've noticed that a lot of porn sites seem to be promoting incest. Every video seems to be about sleeping with your sister/mom/step-mom etc. Seems really twisted and something I'm pretty sure most people don't actually fantasise about.

    Difference between prostitution and porn:

A Pro fvcks real people, for money.
A Cam performer doesn't even meet them. QED

We have no control over what people **** to - there's a funny thread on boards.ie, somewhere, about what feeble things you fapped to before th'internet. There's probably some sad loser massaging along to this very thread *eye roll*

But being paid for posting photos or videos of yourself looking pretty and sexy and doing fun things, is just as legitimate as aiming for Miss Universe with Vaseline on your teeth to help you smile.

Some animal species probably do the same and we are nothing but the same.

Regards fearing what your children will see..........well I would be more worried about public beheadings, Mosques on every corner and bright hot glowing lights in the sky from fat mad cheese eaters in a far off land than a girl jumping up and down with joy because she has just found a new 'whoopee' stick.

I'd be more worried about slave labour jobs being the only jobs available to our young people than what fairy tales my neighbours believe. I'd be more worried about the tent cities that will spring up as a result of people having the floor cut out from under them as a direct result of bank loans that can't be repaid.

I think they're recommendations based on past searches

No. They're not. I don't search for anything remotely like that. And I know for a fact that it is not natural to fantasise about family members. It's not the natural way of things. It might be for a tiny minority but it is definitely not something most people think about. This is deliberate pushing of degeneracy. It's sick.

Stagliano, yeah, but yet you highlight that it was being shot with a handheld camera like that's a bad thing. Handheld camera shot porn is what made Stagliano a multi millionaire. Himself, Seymore Butts and Pier Woodman transformed the industry at a time when it was all fake boobs and cheesy dialogue features. Today almost all porn is Gonzo, so much so that the name is almost redundant as a result and the girls making the most from the industry are shooting that genre.

If there's anyone that should get sympathy in the porn industry, it's the guys. They get paid fcuk all compared to women, for doing the same work (some could argue more work) and they rarely become big name stars unless they produce/direct, like James Deen or a Rocco. Ron Jeremy the exception of course but he only became the name he did because ugly guys needed someone they could relate to.

I guess my point was that you can focus on whatever section of the industry you want and make a story about that to reflect whatever narrative it is that you want to but that's true of almost all industries. I remember watching a docu years ago about this filthy little hackney firm in Birmingham where ten of the drivers had topped themselves but to say that it was a true reflection of what the average taxi driver's life is like, would be a nonsense.

You could do the same with the restaurant industry too, and show what it's like to work in the kitchens of run down back street takeaways. Follow a few people home to their bedsits and show them crying after washing dishes for 8 hours straight. Or you could go the other route and show some high end Michelin star places where the staff earn more, work in better conditions, drive better cars. Don't see why the pron industry would or should be any different. It's runs the gamut, from squalor to decadence and why wouldn't it.

I believe the point lazybones was trying to make was that when the daughter of a friend of the porn producer came to him looking for an introduction to the porn industry, he tried to discourage her by taking her to a sleazy film set to illustrate to her that it was not as glamorous as she may have thought it was.

Completely off topic but that's the result of global corporations and their policies which Ireland is all for so.............

Yeah they should do something like that before you decide to get married.

yes i look at it ...but there's no getting away from the fact that porn as an industry is sleazy, full of sleazy creepy people

Life is full of sleazy people. Look at governments and you will find the worse kind. Porn probably has no more than any other kind of life.

yes, but there's different grades of sleaziness...and the porn industry has to contain the worst of all...down there with pimps & drug pushers imo

So according to you.........porn stars are under the control of pimps and drug pushers?..........I think you need to look at a different newspaper and television channel.

Complaints against the porn industry (and generally any sex worker position) can generally be made against the (and I'm picking an example out of the air here) fast food industry.

If this doesn't hold true, the complaint generally can then be aligned to the "sex is dirty/damaging/degrading" faction, which is obviously an opinion one is free to hold.

Insofar as there are uncategorised criticisms after the two above sets are considered, I'd tend to think that they could be addressed by the usual improvement mechanisms that an industry can be subject: legalisation, unionisation, education, worker protections, etc

People are funny about sex though. You've to be very careful to discern who is debating from a viewpoint of personal hangups as opposed to personal freedoms otherwise my goodness you could waste a lot of time arguing on the internet and that wouldn't do.
