Cross Border - Shared Parental Leave

Probably a long shot but wondering if anyone has any experience of shared parental leave when the spouse works cross border?
I work in the north and the my wife works in the south. (we live in the north). She's entitled to 6 months maternity pay in the south from her place of work - She may only take 1 extra month off work leaving 7 months maternity - So i was wondering if there is any way of utilizing the shared parental leave from the north? No idea where to start looking into it

I don't think so as she works down south but you maybe able to take advantage of it as you work up there. Can you take if if your wife is a stay at home parent? if so then you can.
Citizens information is a good 1st port of call.
Parental leave in the south is - 18 weeks per child and maternity leave is 26 paid by sw and 16 unpaid so she can take 42 weeks in the south.
