The aig deal is only part of the big money pie Dublin has every year. As you already knew anyway.

Mayo spent more money than Dublin on their senior team last year!!!

You said the AIG deal was Part of the problem but in reality it is a smaller sponsorship deal than some other senior football teams!

Amazingly you have not mentioned the real reason for success. Andy Kettles Blue tide programme. Years of Investment in development structures, training and academy coaching.

Kerry, Mayo and Kilkenny are great examples of counties with small populations and lots of success.

But maybe it is easier for people like you to look for simple excuses to success rather than acknowledge the hard work, effort and what goes on behind the scenes.

Dublins backroom team is 21 people, pretty average for most counties

Ezplanation: It's a stupid idea and won't ever happen. About a stupid as this one...

"Dublin realistically spreads as far as Dublin Bus and Dublin accents do. Therefore the Dublin Senior Football Panel should be allowed draw players from the surrounding commuter counties of Wicklow, Kildare and Meath. Basically, if you can kick a ball, say 'story bud', and can get a DB home, you're from Dublin."

    How ridiculous does that sound?

Why are you trying to distract from my simple question with stupid irrelevancies.

    Money. Playing population. Resources.

Do you think Dublin has *unfair* advantages?

Did the years figures not show that Mayo spent the most in 2016?

Might as well repost this from another forum

Dublin have so much advantages over the rest of the counties that they have no excuses for not winning easily every year. I'm not trolling by the way-genuinely believe that.

    Huge playing population.

    Huge money ploughed in.

Great resources all located in a small geographical area. Best of everything provided.

Back room team looking after every possible area of the preparation and all headed up by the great Jim Gavin...it's no wonder he's so modest.

He knows well that the dubs have no excuses.

Sure I might as well copy my reply to you as well for balance..

What is it that Mayo are doing that the other 29 counties can't do?

Do you honestly think if Galway were given 25 million a year for the next 5 years that they would have the players to win an all Ireland in that time? Of course they wouldn't - because the work in Dublin has been done at underage - Dublin went 16 years without a championship - they didn't complain, they put the resources in underage, worked hard and got their just rewards.

Winners breed winners, it's why Dublin win so much, perhaps if Mayo took the league a bit more serious and won it they would have the belief that that can win more. Why is it a team can get to countless AI finals - but not league finals - wrong mentality is the reason.

We've seen what can be done if a group of lads come together and decide to get physical fit and work hard - like Donegal did - it wasn't pretty but they had a plan - but then what happened - they all partied hard and lost the hunger and basically were never the same team again. Jim has the Dublin team disciplined and the players all know how to behave and what will happen if they don't.

Money and resources are the same

And playing population isnt much bigger than other large counties. All the foreign people and country people who live in Dublin not to mention the popularity of Rugby and Soccar in Dublin compared to other parts of the country.

This is a multi year problem.

Yes you might have counties investing heavily over time to *attempt* to keep up with the dubs.

The underlying problem is Dublin skewing the competition and the best thing to do now is to break up the county with -what? 1.5 million population into 3-4 smaller more competitive teams for the common good of the GAA. Simples.
