**Stolen Designer Handbag**

Recently I was abroad and I had my bag and personal belongings stolen. Foolishly I had no travel insurance. As I am at a considerable loss, I was wondering if it is possible to claim from my house insurance?
    I have a police report.

I would imagine that depends on whether you have any specified/unspecified all risks cover as part of your home insurance policy...

If your bag was 'lifted', you've little chance. If a hotel room or other place where you were staying was physically broken in to, your house insurance may cover it.
