Anyone have any experience? What are they like for replacements? What are weathers like to finish? Any help appreciated

Hi I've a similar query. Got 15 lanarks for myself but at the moment we're over stocked with rams so not gonna buy a Leicester till next year. I've a choice of a cheviot, belclare, texel or I've a big lump of a mayo horny. Was thinking of running the cheviot as would think they'd be nice replacements. Taught????

Well I'll cure one a them. I let the Taxal to some lanark ewes last year. Great meaty fat lambs. Just a bit on the small side though. Hard enough to bring down the scales.

Ewe lambs look strong surely. Looks to be a fairly good cross.

Anyone vouch for these North Country Cheviots? Prob to go on 20 Suffock x hoggets ? Would he be too hard lambed? Thanks in advance
