    Who?

Geaney, Moran, BJK, Jack Barry etc all lined out, like they have the last 3 weeks.

Kerry are one of the few footballing counties doing it right along with Dublin.

Killian and Adrian Spillane, Tadhg Morely, Micheal Burns, Daithi Casey all played today.

I can't find teams for all games today but Paul Murphy, Peter Crowley, Matthew Flaherty, David Clifford, Kieran Donaghy, Ronan Shanahan have all played for their clubs in the last few weeks.

Seems an awful strange thing to give out about considering how well April for the club seens to have worked.

The only hitch so far seems to be the double injury in the Finuge v Na Gaeil game which will hold up the Junior Premier Final by a week it seems, as that replay is set for next Saturday. The winners play Fossa, presumably the next week.

Edit: Barry O'Sullivan and the two Tom O'Sullivans lined out for Dingle.

    Brian Kelly for Legion.

Perhaps the biggest shock so far was Churchill reaching the semis of the Junior Premier, but incredibly tight - level on points, head-to-head and points difference before edging through on points for!

Took a late goal to beat Listry too.

Another big proportion of county men missing for their clubs this weekend #clubmonth

As far as I can see there has been zero resting of county players in Kerry with a fair chunk of the panel having played 3 games for their clubs already this month.

Any of the county lads missing are those carrying injuries, and a serious chunk of those were carrying injuries during the league (there was 15+ on the injury list for a good portion of the league)

One of the big things is that for all reports Paul Geaney who had a quiet league by his standards has rediscovered his form with 6 goals in the 3 games he has played.

Dingle v Crokes should be a cracker in the final.

So far the club month and the new structures seem to have worked very well.

Kerry seems to be one of the few places where the club month has been of any worth.

There are some counties that run some of there county championship during April these are releasing players for matches as well. However I imagine that there will be a kick up by clubs in more counties unless the spirt of the rules are entered into. Having said that alot of Football and hurling clubs county season will end by the ennd of June and there county championships will begin sooner than previous years.

Indeed. Laune Rangers won the Feile in Kerry yesterday so another good crop coming through.

We could revert to the Twin towers attack of Walsh and Donaghy with Geaney, Clifford and O Donoghue Feeding off of them. Scary prospect!

In a former life maby, but don't think they will scare any decent full back line
in 2018. It won't happen anyway.

Maybe 10 years ago but not now. On a side note had to believe that was 10 years ago!!

So, the Churchill Junior Premier odyssey has come to an end, after a one-point defeat AET (2-9 to 0-16). Still, the All-Ireland Scór Tráth na gCeist is in the trophy cabinet, and a decent chance of winning Division Five.

On a more serious note, fair to say the County Board's use of April for club fixtures has been a definite success, even allowing for the controversy over the training weekend. The county leagues should be wrapped up by September, and the various club champions will keep fresh playing county championship with the districts.

Laune ranger down to junior now or was that a semi final?
    Some performance by Churchill.
East kerry derby will be a cracker for the intermediate final

Semi. Either themselves or Gneevguilla (I never learned how to spell it) go down.

You're only missing an e after the v and you're set.

Gneeveguilla have been hammered by emigration the last few years. Couple of young lads coming through and a couple of recent Kerry minors and one Kerry junior but I'd fully expect Laune Rangers to take care of them unfortunately. Playing division 4 now also. It's been a slippery slope but you could argue it's been punching above its weight for such a tiny village.

There's not too many rural villages who have such close proximity to major employers like Munster Joinery and the town of Killarney.

The minors are out against Cork tonight in Tralee. Any thoughts.

Are Gneeveguilla back/Kilcummin gone in East Kerry now in the Senior C'ship or will that take effect in 2019?

Kilcummin wont play senior until next year- they will be part of East Kerry for this season.

The relegated team isnt finalised yet- and wont be until after the County championship.

Yes, they'll go senior in 2019, so would remain in the East Kerry set-up this autumn.

Looks like the Cork game will be as tight as was expected - 1-3 to 0-6 at HT, Cork playing with the wind in the first half. Paul Walsh continues his promising season, notching 1-1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,805 ✭✭✭An Ciarraioch

Harsh on Cork to be out due to the structure - levelled up with a goal in the closing minutes, but an injury-time winner sees us through 1-11 to 1-10 at FT.

Superb result for the hurlers against Laois (3-20 to 0-19), suddenly from worrying about relegation they now have an outside chance of the top two.
