I have a Samsung 2017 j7 and want to get wifi calling on it.

The phone is from another network but I want to use it on eir with wifi calling.

Considering phone is unlocked and want to use it on eir, will the wifi calling work, or what setting do I need to change.

    Hi kala85,

Thanks for getting in touch. I'm afraid the Samsung J7 is not eligible for WiFi. You would be able to use the phone with our network if it is unlocked but you can't use WiFi calling on it.

It says on your website that the samsung j7 2017 is compatible with wifi calling.

Please check the phone section and see.

I'm afraid if the handset is not purchased through ourselves we are unable to provide the service to you.

Devices from other operators will require the eir software to be applied before it's capable of the service. This can be done by dropping the phone into your local store who will then send this on to Fonefix - http://www.fonfix.ie/ This process can take up to 4 days to complete at a cost of €20 if the handset is not under warranty.

    Thanks

If the phone is under warranty won it be done free of charge.

That's correct, if it's still within warranty there will be no charge.

    Thanks

To clarify Adam, if the phone is in warranty and it was not purchased from eir, fonefix will upgrade the software free of charge.
