    AKA The Russell Crowe show

The Hollywood Star is in town for his Olympia show on Sunday night

A tribute to the "Different Class" Jimmy Magee

Ryan will be joined by some of Jimmy’s friends and colleagues as they remember the man who, for many people, is the defining voice of Irish sport. They will share their own stories of one of the true legends of Irish broadcasting.

    Francis Brennan

He's back and he’s turning his attention to the nation’s living rooms with his new book on managing homes. He’ll be joining Ryan to catch up on his summer eating snake and other shenanigans on his recent grand tour of Vietnam.

    Elaine Cassidy and Angeline Ball

The stars of RTÉ's new Sunday night drama Acceptable Risk join the will be in studio to chat about filming the high octane thriller in Dublin and Montreal.

There will also be entertainment from Jiggy who've become viral superstars.

    I hope you've all been practising... :D

I think Francis needs to prove to us that his duvet changing skills have improved :D

He seems to be on RTÉ every few weeks, I wonder what he is trying to sell this time.

Just watched the 'Jiggy' viral video. It seems to be clips from other peoples videos of dancing all put together. Fair enough.
I thought the song was a trad Macarena at the start ;)

Watching Celebrity Masterchef final until 10pm.An A list guest two weeks in a row is an achievement for the Late Late at present, but Russell Crowe is a very different personality to the wonderful Martina last week.

Times like this I wish the LLS did the Graham Norton thing of all guests together at the same time. Imagine the banter between Frances Brennan and Russell Crowe.

Now Russell, don't get me wrong, your house is lovely, but seriously, that crooked red candle on your dining table, you've let yourself down there Russell and there was no need for it and it's lost you millions on your house value.

Good Evening All :) Thank God it's Friday!!!!

If I could travel back in time .......

I would have married Richard Burton, Frank Sinatra would have entertained our wedding guests and Richard Harris and Peter O'Toole would have been our rowdy neighbours
    :D

    Richard Burton <3

    Richard Harris

I was definitely born about 60 - 70 years too late......

On a side note, Russell Crowe was a big fan of Richard Harris, he travelled to Kilkee, Co. Clare in 2006 to unveil a statue of the great Limerick actor.

Does Francis live behind the Late Late set, so when they're stuck for a guest he's always on call?

I think if I was on one of his tours he would end up with a television set going in his direction some morning and he wanted to get everyone out and about early.

    Good Evening Harry,

Francis is a nice man but we're seeing way too much of him. Familiarity breeds contempt and all that...

I bet John Brennan is at home crying ..... and shouting at the telly box...

    "It should have been me".

I hope they give the last hour or so to Jimmy and don't try to do it mid show and have Russell Crowe on at the end.

Russel Crowe is a bully. He was in great form the last time because the hatstand was scared he would get a bunch of fives if he didn't tell him how great his movie was and kissed his ass from the word go.

A few years ago I bought 10 pairs of the exact same socks, losing one here or there is no longer an issue.

Would those plastic things not make a load of noise in the washing machine?

What is Russell Crowe promoting this time? Usually if a big star has to be on the LLS it means their film is fairly bad or isnt doing well

You don't have to be a nice person for it to be great television!

I can hear the Washing Machine Engineers around the country giving out.

I worked (briefly) for Hotpoint Service when I was a student, the most common reason for call outs was bra underwires getting dislodged during the wash and getting stuck in the machine....true story.

Socks, lots of it about but I never seem to get any

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,453 ✭✭✭CH3OH

No free product placement .. They could have made a few bob with product placement and gave everyone in the audience a few socks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,105 ✭✭✭Vorenus400

I dont think Francis is even selling anything. Why is he on doing this stuff.
Should this not be done by Kim and Aggie the cleaning ladies.
