God what a fighter Eubank would be if he had a trainer. Immense heart, chasing around a guy two weight divisions higher than him. Groves just to big and too clever.

    Yeah, not great.
A good fighter would have had Eubank out of there.

7-5 is very generous to Eubank.

Groves left shoulder out of socket for half that round

im a mug punter and an armchair fan, but eubank doesn't look like a professional.

There probably are worse fighters out there but my word tonight he looked like a total amateur. An in shape lad from the crowd could probably step in there and swing for the fences and wouldn't look much worse. Desperate stuff

Groves hardly did a number on him. Let's not exaggerate....

Without taking notes I'd have Groves winning by 3 or 4 rounds, Eubank just far too slow to start and wild when he did

It will be a travesty if Eubank gets the decision.

Was Groves left shoulder damaged in that last round?

he kinda did , did what he needed to do. Eubank didn't really push him.

wasn't under a huge amount of pressure so didn't seem to risk a huge amount
apart from some messing in rd 12

Yep still don't like McGuigan. So given that he fought a welterweight in the quarters and a middleweight in the semis, he's probably fight a flyweight in the final?

Poor quality fight, both were dissappointing. Groves won by a few rounds.

I just go back and laugh when i remember the Eubanks saying that JR would beat Golovkin now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,301 ✭✭✭sonic85

Just out of interest I'm just a very casual fan but what's next for Eubank Jr in your opinion lads? That fight was a disaster really - where can he go from here?

Eubank needs a proper trainer. At world level, being a big puncher isn't good enough. It's not rock em sock em

Groves to win the World Boxing Series, and Froch to come out of retirement to take away all of his belts.

Eubank very naive, allowed Groves to fight his fight.

Didn't have the skills to change anything.
