All intelligent, informed, driven and passionate in every sense of the word women. Sure they played the game they had to, but more than not they played the game, it didn't play them. No twerking with a foam finger up your sparkle flecked arse shouting you're a strong woman guff required.

Aside factoid... Raquel is a half Latina woman, who already had two kids from a failed marriage under her belt before she hit the screens. Not exactly a great start and PR angle back in the early to mid 60's. She went on to manage herself and produce films and run several businesses. Fonda was someone who apparently gave no fcuks about public perceptions, while giving large fcuks about what she was passionate about politically and socially.

When they first started doing that on Star Trek they couldn't get the colour right.

They'd put makeup on Susan Oliver but during the daily rushes she'd look normal. So they kept putting more and more on her and still she'd look not-at-all-green.

Turns out they forgot to tell the guy developing the film about the makeup and your man had been freaking out because something very wrong was going on in the film processing and he was doing his damnedest to get rid of all that green. :pac:
