She was beautiful in The Rocketeer. Drop dead gorgeous. Then when I next saw her in A Beautiful Mind, I was like 'what the fudge happened? She looks nothing like she used to'.
All that 'treatments' and messing with her face messed up her acting. And she was probably pressured to lose weight, so her drool worthy curves disappeared too.

Still, we'll always have Career Opportunities...and the mechanical horse scene.

Nah it's the old rose tinted glasses. She was always crap; check out Labyrinth for Exhibit B.

She was only 14 in Labyrinth, and tbf, she improves as the film goes on. I honestly cannot hate that movie, no matter what. It's David Bowie, 'Magic Dance', and references the Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer.

Exhibit C is Blood Diamond.

Oh she was never a good actress (hard to believe she has an Oscar for A Beautiful Mind-but then again, if Halle Berry, Renee Zellweger or Kate Winslet can win one, anyone can). But she used to actually smile and seem to enjoy acting. Genuinely.
(And she got naked quite a bit-which showed off her astounding body).

Now it's like 'misery' acting-she popped up in a comedy, and it was the same 'misery' acting that so many actors do to get awards, without 'really' trying (see also Julianne Moore-another 'actress' who seems to push me out of a movie).
