Many of them underage next year would anyone know?

I think its a few alright. Eoghan Nash from Douglas will only turn 16 at the end of the year

Meanwhile At Glen Rovers, Tomas Mulcahy in the dunk tank says "I will be here all day" thinking no one will be able to hit the target but Hoggie steps up......:pac::pac:

    Great game yesterday. Mad end!

Just posting as Dub to say I thought your lads were treated badly by officialdom in the way they handled the presentation.

And of course the other crowd came out during it! Dublin were supposed to be out before them but held back because didn't want to ruin the young fellas day in the sun.

Not sure but should know over the next few days

    Some interesting pairings

    Cork County Championship Draw

    Senior Football Championship

    Q-Final
    A St. Finbarr's v Nemo Rangers
    B Kiskeam / Ballincollig, v Douglas,
    C Duhallow v Clonakilty
    D Mallow / Newcestown v Ilen Rovers

    Semi-Final

    St. Finbarr's / Nemo Rangers v Kiskeam / Ballincollig, / Douglas,

Duhallow / Clonakilty v Mallow / Newcestown / Ilen Rovers

    Senior Hurling Championship

    Q-Final
    A Imokilly v Sarsfields
    B Bishopstown v St. Finbarr's
    C Newtownshandrum v Glen Rovers
    D Carrigtwohill v Ballyhea

    Semi-Final

    Imokilly / Sarsfields v Bishopstown / St. Finbarr's

Newtownshandrum / Glen Rovers v Carrigtwohill / Ballyhea

In senior football Duhallow laughing all the way to the final on the easy side of the draw

Newtown or Glen should take care of Carrigtwohill or Ballyhea in hurling semi final

Hard to see anyone stopping Imokilly though

I thought the same and nothing surprises me there about our neighbours.

How do intermediate clubs feel about senior clubs like Blackrock, Douglas etc playing in their grade is it a bit unfair ?

It's not a problem as long as they are intermediate players. It's really annoying seeing a senior player tog out at intermediate because he didnt play in senior championship.
Same can be said for junior teams to be fair.

I do remember a couple of years ago, the Barrs had 8 of their starting 15 that played in intermediate QF play in the Senior Final that year. Another couple of years before that, Ian Maguire played for them having missed the SFC the year before through injury

Denis Ring steps down as Cork U20 hurling manager

    https://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/sport/gaa/denis-ring-steps-down-as-cork-u20-hurling-manager-950074.html

I know Ring & Co did put in a lot of time and effort over the years but I'm not sad that he saw the writing on the wall after the Under 20 final shambles

Are you kidding? He did his best but no success. Nobody wants him near a Cork team again and i dont want to sound harsh.

Did you read the article. It’s under age teams. Imagine what these guys could bring to developing young lads. The future looks bright to me.

Jbm and Cunningham could be linked to the underage jobs thats fine but it neither should be left near the senior jobs. They arent good enough anymore for those roles. The game has changed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,121 ✭✭✭zetecescort

JBM at minor, Cunningham at u20 and Kingston at senior according to todays Examiner.

No idea, I would imagine a fair few from Lidl in particular, only 10euro for students/seniors/u16 which a lot of the crowd were.

That’s very true plus only around 10k at the semi final double header in croke Park. Love to know the revenue they generated on Sunday
