Very surprised there is no Jamie Wall in the minor set up he did a great job with the u16s and should not have been overlooked.

I don’t see what Ger C will bring to the senior set up if his time in Dublin is anything to go by.

Brilliant coach but a poor manager. So he’s in his strongest role in this set up, should work out very well

Kingston is a class act. From an outsider...Limerick. Hes the cool ,calculating Cork man that people respect. It's a shame he left when he did. The dynamic with Ger Cunningham could be good or it might not work at all. If Cork can reach the standards they set in the Gaelic grounds against Limerick this year they wont be far off. They just need more consistency and abit more ruthlessness on and off the field. It's all do able..

My memory is the players letting him down against Waterford in the AI semifinal after DC got sent off. The 10 min before this we were the better team. We were pulling away from them. Kingston had us at that standard before he left. The panel is a lot stronger now. The young players he brought in are more experienced now. We won’t be to far away. I predict an AI final next year and winning outright the year after. Up the rebels.

So IF Cork win the minor next year Donal Og is out and this guy Furlong is in for 2021 would that be harsh on Donal og and his backroom team ?

I would have great faith in Kingston he brought in great young players in Coleman, Fitzgibbon etc and he will blood more young guys in 2020 he was very unlucky in the all Ireland semi in 2017 just lack of discipline cost us as we were well
    On top.

Give the 3 guys a chance they only want to see Cork back at the top table. Rebels Abu.

I just hope that we don't see more of cusack in the news rather than Kingston. Keep his head down and just work hard.

would be a bit harsh alright but hopefully they prove their worth and stay involved, perhaps with the lower age groups or maybe as selectors at senior or u20

Ladies football county final between Mourneabbey and West Cork just started on c103. Should be a decent game, required a replay to seperate them last year

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,121 ✭✭✭zetecescort

All Mourneabbey so far, 4-2 to 0-4 after 25min

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,121 ✭✭✭zetecescort

4-7 to 1-8, Mourneabbey down to 14 for the next ten min

Why do Blackrock play in premier minor 2 hurling just seen they lost the final last night ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,039 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Just not a strong enough group for Premier 1

That same crop were Premier 2 at under 16 and lost a semi final

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,121 ✭✭✭zetecescort

So if the Tier 2 proposal passes and we lose the munster semi next year we will be in the 2nd tier?

So if the Tier 2 proposal passes and we lose the munster semi next year we will be in the 2nd tier?

Potentially. Part of the proposal is whether 'Division 3 and 4 teams' will be designated as such based on their final league standings, incorporating promotion and relegation, as of April 2019 or April 2020.

The draw is an interesting one, semi v Kerry. With no qf warm up game it should give us a better chance of giving them a game.

Up in the air still if Waterford will have to play their home games at a neutral venue next summer. Hard to see the redevelopment ready in time

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,039 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

True that but it would prob mean another trip to Thurles like in 2018

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,218 ✭✭✭big_drive

Thurles would be ideal. Plus no issues with limited amount of tickets
