Ye must have some backs down in Cork when the centre back from Blackrock can't make the team. Cashman is a fantastic player. Iv seen him 3 times . Hes aggressive ,can carry and can hold the middle. I dunno if ye have too many players or what.. Cahalane is a liability wing back and a disaster waiting to happen full back. He ball watches and over plays and is rash...some poor decisions by management

I read an article there with Kieran Kingston where he was basically saying we can't just throw in new guys as it is a step up in level from what they are used to. It would be a baptism of fire and he said this is where the league would have been good to try out new players.

In fairness, he has a point as with Covid everything to do with preparation must be difficult and thats with the guys that know each other already never mind a new player in defence trying to be the new savior and all eyes on him.

Attackers being new is a bit easier but I am just cutting Kingston slack with the way things are now. We will definitely need new blood in defence though soon enough once this pandemic is over or when some normality resumes.

Taking out bill Cooper a massive workhorse in midfield to hold centre back. Will be a good tussle between him and gleeson.
Any idea of the Cork team?

not sure what to make of that team. picking familiar faces and expecting different results. no player from the county champions on the panel must be a first?

Same old same old. A lot of unhappy people around tonight.

Where are the Blackrock players on that panel? That's a shambles of a team. Tried and tested befoe last decade and nothing will change. The wait continues for Liam if that's the best we have in the county.

The team might not be good enough but the reality is there’s nothing better. Couple Blackrock players might be good enough for a panel spot but none that would add much to team

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,682 ✭✭✭thesultan

None of the two from Saturday would beat the other semi on Sunday

We aren't going in the right direction if we can't try out new players. That team isnt going to change our wait for Liam. Its a failed team.

Not sure what everyone expected. I thought there might be 1 or 2 changes myself but the team would still be more or less the same. From that interview I read, I knew that was code for keep things the same whether good or bad.

I still think we will be too strong for Waterford but for matches later we will have to see.

First thing is to play Waterford and see where we are.

Cork 1-08 v 0-06 up at ht in the camogie.
Over elaboration by Cork, more direct play and they should win comfortably.

Amy O'Connor looks electric every time she gets the ball. The wind was strong against Cork in that first half so that will help us now in the second.
