Tomás O’ Shea not giving cork much credit. Even fancies Tipps chances. I’d be honest they have a chance but Cork will be too good for them. We’ve a bench now as well. It’s been a long time since we’ve had players that can come on and help change the game. Tipp were lucky yesterday can’t see us letting up

Thats probably because he came out during the week and completely didn't give Cork a hope. We were all the same. I guess this makes this victory sweet for all of us Cork fans.

So what part of Patrick's Street are we going to put the statue of Mark Keane on?

Very poor analysis tonight it was all about Kerry no credit given to Cork at all Tomas was like a child who didn’t get his own way then saying Tipp will fancy their chances. Should be neutral pundits in my opinion but it was good seeing gooch and o rourke getting it wrong today on the live show. They both looked cranky after the final whistle.

Only watched sunday game now and seeing how incensed he was made this all the sweeter.he was completely out of order in my book and he should have thanked us for saving them from a thrashing from dublin because they are not half as good as they think thety are

I don't bet on GAA, made an exception today, lockdown fever or something, backed cork at 11/2, delighted, looked at my account, bet lost, feck it, will look at the small print in future, presume the bet I placed was only valid at full-time, I presume the bookies basically collected every cork and kerry bet at full time, I am told there is a final result option somewhere but I presume the minority look for it, nice payday

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,935 ✭✭✭✭BPKS

Fair play to Cork. Hung on in there the whole time and took their chances when the came. We will have many complaints with some of our big players and some of the strange decisions that went against us but what else would you expect in 2020.

If anyone knows how a human can hibernate for a few months would you PM me please.

Well ya, full-time was a draw. You have the option to bet on the game being a draw too. As you said, a bet on the team to progress would be different and slightly lower odds as the variable of a draw is removed. The lesson is don't bother betting, was still enjoyable

Atleast Cooper gave us a bit of credit, O'Rourke was a disgrace

Cooper is good analyst. At least he gave Cork credit for winning a game they hadnt a hope of winning.

Find him to always be a bitter buck when it comes to giving Cork credit for anything....O’Rourke that is..

How did Maguire and Falvie not get booked? At least four fouls each

How many of last years Cork All Ireland under 20 winning team featured in this game?
To be fair they were an exciting football team .

We drew Tipp in the hurling. Going to be very tough

Looks like Cork will have to beat Tipperary, the losing Leinster finalists and Limerick just to reach the All Ireland final. They'll have earned it if they win it anyway.

Lets focus one game at the time. We must beat Tipperary first. We have a poor record against them last decade or so. We need to put this right again. Tall order to beat Tipp. I think we will have to be extra good to beat them imo.

Kerry will hammer Cork the weekend i cant see it going any other way. The standard in quality will show. Cork will be well beaten. If Cork get close it won't matter moral victories are pointless.

The hurlers are not up to it and will be knocked out of championship this weekend. A dark weekend for Cork GAA ahead.

    This aged well.

At least Cork are going into this game with some momentum following victory over Dublin.

All pressure on Tipp as they haven't retained an All-Ireland since the 1960's.

I'm sure they didn't want Cork either.

Tipp will be favourites and rightly so but I think that will suit Cork.

Only that worries me is Cork's third week in a row playing. Be great to get Darragh Fitz back.

Will have to beat Tipp, KilKenny, Galway then Limerick in 4 straight knockout to win Liam.

    Tall order.

I doubt that whatever pressure is on them has its source in this. That's one for the anoraks only. The pressure will be to perform well with no second chance available.

The pressure on any team to win in straight knockout format is obvious.

Liam Sheedy must be an anorak then as he has said in the aftermath of Tipp's

All-Ireland win last year that he was v keen to back it up to ensure that 2019

was not perceived as a fluke or a one-off.

The pressure on Tipp to back last years win up will be v much a factor next

weekend and any other match Tipp may play this year.

i dont think sheedy ever mentioned having to win back to back so 2019 wouldn't look like fluke, tipp won7/8 games last year, not a fluke by any metric.

They got a good roasting by 12 points in that one they lost and then got well beaten by the same team again. I think Cork have a super chance of winning this weekend and then going on abit of a roll. They've found a fairly serious team but we ll know for sure this wkend. Tipperary will nit have wanted this draw

They beat limerick 2 weeks previous and that limerick team lost 50% of its championship games last year so dont know what point you are getting at. This year has nothing to do with last year with all that has went on. Tipp beat Kilkenny by 14points who beat limerick. Tipp most consistent team last year fully deserving winners.

Limerick had a weakened team out in that round Robin and were already qualified. The point I'm making is that Tipperary are highly over rated and Limerick have their number bigtime. Nothing stopping Cork from turning them over. Im not saying Tipperary didn't deserve their All Ireland. They won it fair and square.
