Barrs v Na Piarsaigh final for me

I have been told Rovers favs. Supposed to be a very talented team. But they are kids so anything can happen

    very true

the shorter games have a bearing as well

hopefully there are good games anyway

St finbarrs beat Rovers in final by a point 1-6 to 1-5. Rovers late point waved wide by ref. At least a foot inside. Cracker of a game.

Newtown had a good win last night in Charleville, kanturk could not match them for team work and never say die attune. Newton lost Tim Mahony in first half with what look at nasty shoulder injury. Jamie Coughlan was class he wrecked the kanturk defence he got 2 great goals.Match Score 2 14 to 0 15.

Caught three handy games this week-end, Killeagh were disappointing agin Douglas, but in saying that, Douglas were on top form, good direct play into Cian McCarthy worked well. Bishopstown were good in first half today but Midleton just had the better hurlers and took their points better, the Rockies show some good promise for the championship. But Douglas with Cadogan and that youngfella Turnbull to come back, look the team to beat.... just sort out the defence, too much fecken about in front of their own goal.

Going down there and giving them a very good game will certainly give the players a lift and a bit of confidence. They are going for 6 in a row so it was always going to be an uphill task.

I know what you mean but its not much good when their year is over now

Yeah, the set up is pretty crap. Stopping them when they are in a run of 26 unbeaten was always going to be hard.

Feile semis in Togher tonight Barrs v Ballincollig Bride Rovers v Pairsaigh Final to follow after.

Na Piarsaigh not fielding an U16 hurling team at any grade this year. Worrying development.

Imokilly with the addition of Colm Spillane and Bill Cooper are undoubtly the team to beat. Same management as last who obviously stayed on to defend their title.

Local word is Tim Mahony has no break but ligament damage, won't make the Clare game.

'We're ready' - Páirc Uí Chaoimh pitch perfect after Ed Sheeran shows

Ryan however says that preparations for Sunday, the first of two home games in Munster for the hurlers, have been "excellent".

"We are ready, willing and able to hold the Clare people here in Cork, along with our own supporters, and we are really looking forward to the Munster Championship," he told RTÉ Sport.

"The field is maturing and developing very well"
"The weather has been in our favour, all the remedial work has been done to the pitch. We are very pleased with the progress.

"We had a difficult period over the winter during the League, but that is gone thankfully. The field is maturing and developing very well."

    https://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/2018/0517/964212-no-fears-on-leeside-over-pairc-ui-chaoimh-pitch/

That flies against what a lot of posters on the PROC and the Blood and the Bandage have stated

The Cork Senior Hurling team for next Sunday's Munster Championship game v Clare in Pairc Ui Chaoimh @ 4pm has been announced.

    1. Anthony Nash - Kanturk
    2. Sean O Donoghue - Inniscarra
    3. Damien Cahalane - St Finbarr's
    4. Colm Spillane - Castlelyons
    5. Christopher Joyce - Na Piarsaigh
    6. Mark Ellis - Millstreet
    7. Mark Coleman - Blarney
    8. Darragh Fitzgibbon - Charleville
    9. Bill Cooper - Youghal
    10. Daniel Kearney - Sarsfields
    11. Conor Lehane - Midleton
    12. Robbie O Flynn - Erins Own
    13. Luke Meade - Newcestown
    14. Seamus Harnedy - St Ita's ( Capt )
    15. Patrick Horgan - Glen Rovers
    Subs
    16. Patrick Collins - Ballinhassig
    17. Eoin Cadogan - Douglas
    18. Tim O' Mahony - Newtownshandrum
    19. Darren Browne - Kanturk
    20. Shane Kingston - Douglas
    21. Dean Brosnan - Glen Rovers
    22. Jack O Connor - Sarsfields
    23. Rob O Shea - Carrigaline
    24. Brian Lawton - Castlemartyr
    25. Lorcan McLoughlin - Kanturk
    26. Jamie Coughlan - Newtownshandrum

So as expected, no Cadogan in the full back or full forward lines (Alan to me is a huge loss) Tim O Mahony also clearly not fit enough to start also. Daniel Kearney is a strange one in the half forward line.
