Hand on heart I expect us to get beat, but once we put in a serious performance I be happy enough. I don't want us to lie down like we did in 2019.

3 tough games in 3 weeks might be tough even for this Cork team but at least with u20s and minors we are using the talent that is coming through better now.

Might just need another year or so. In saying that get it right and match up to the Cats and we sure as hell can beat then Sunday.

Tickets got, I managed to get on the 45m line in the Cusack on Ticketmaster, my first Cork match since before Covid so I'm getting excited already.

Good luck to everyone trying to get them.

I think we will beat Kilkenny...and there has already been a good omen for us......

The show jumper Cian O'Connor was riding a horse called Kilkenny in the Olympics today. Anyone who cleared all the jumps were getting into the final jumpoff. He cleared everything but lost out due to a penalty picked up in the last seconds as he was overtime.

So Kilkenny didn't get into the final because of a penalty near the end....!!! That has to be an omen. Horgan to score the winner. Has to be!!

Then the commentator said that would have been a Corker had he been in time!!

Well, no not the last line there but the rest is true! 🤣

I have only just seen that the Cork ladies footballers play Meath up in Galway in their semi final. Who decided that?

Then to make matters worse in the other semi Dublin ladies play Mayo in Croke Park. Why are they playing the semi final there? Dublin get a home match and Dublin or Mayo get a match at HQ whereas Cork and Meath don't. This will really help either in the final. That just is not fair at all and is really annoying to see.

yeah, thought the same when I heard it. Galway a very strange choice too, why not Thurles, Portlaoise or Kilkenny

🤣🤣🤣 tis very good in fairness. Best of luck to both sides on Sunday and 🤞for a Cats win.

Barrett in for Kingston, O'Leary and Meade both passed fit. Cahalane and Eoin Cadogan make the bench

The good news is that Cahalane and Eoin Cadogan are back training. Only Bill Cooper is definitely out.

In years past, I would be just in hope that we could put in a performance but this year I think we a have a lot going for us. They are not as good as years past but still are very dangerous. Before we relied on Patrick Horgan and of course we still do, but now we have other options. The ability to get goals is crucial for us and I see us getting a penalty or maybe two as well as bookings/sending offs for them. But they are not to be dismissed as you never write off the Cats and they are great at getting goals too. I think we will just have a bit too much for them. The bench plays a crucial part here. It will virtually be the same team starting as last week but having good guys off the bench makes a massive difference. Remember Harnedy being sent back on? Yes, thats the difference now!

The only major worry I have is playing weeks in a row. This is why playing on the sunday is great. The one extra day can make a big difference. They will try to crowd us when we run at them and this is where finding a free man with a deft pass can open them up. This is what I think we are good at but we will need to be. If we run down cul de sacs and they get free outs all the time then it will be a long day.

We have had the perfect build up in that a lot of people think we don't have a chance as we were nearly beaten by Clare and expected to beat Dublin. Most people seem to be going for Kilkenny and that suits us down to the ground. I've thought we have got better each game but we will need to be, to beat the Cats. Not near the finished article at all but we have the ingredients. Hopefully we peak sunday and then improve again for the final. That is my hope anyway.

Great to see Barrett starting God knows he must have been wondering what he needed to do to start. Kingston would be blown away by Kilkennys intensity first half. Kilkenny will want this sewn up by half time so will come out all guns blazing.

They don’t want the likes of Kingston and Connolly fresh off the bench running at them like Greyhounds with 10 mins to go if the game is still in the melting pot.

Feeling a bit confident today, scoring a few goals could well be the difference and that is something we are getting a lot better at.

Really looking forward to it, great to be in an All Ireland semi final all the same,

    Poor start. Very disjointed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 97 ✭✭prishtinaboy99

Have Kilkenny exactly where we wanted them half time. Hope is Kilkenny will run out of steam and we put on the afterburners but Kilkenny May have afterburners too.

Ahead?? Why would we want them ahead?

Too many forwards not helping out on the scoreboard.

Downey can’t handle Billy Ryan at all

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,547 ✭✭✭The White Feather

We keep taking a few touches to get it into our hands and get going, Then we have numerous dropped balls.

We arent going to win this unless we get into full flow. We still are stuttering and starting and letting them stay a few points ahead

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,033 ✭✭✭DellyBelly

That is brain dead hurling.. What was O Mahony doing.. Real lack of bottle unfortunately.. Can't see them winning this
