Yeah that was my only complaint from yesterday; I had to leg it straight after the final whistle to catch my train. I would have liked to have stayed on and enjoyed the moment for a while. The stupid thing is that the train was held back by 30 minutes to give us time to make it so all my rushing was for nothing 😃

Cork GAA just tweeted about tickets. Looks like no general sale

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,194 ✭✭✭mossie

That's to be expected. There will be big demand through the clubs and a lower allocation than normal.

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Some of the declarations predicting the absolute certainty of victory I'm reading in other threads by the fans of hurling's nouveau riche are a sight to behold...

I'm not naive enough to think we aren't huge underdogs, and that Limerick won't punish us harder for mistakes than KK did yesterday. But in saying that we left about 5 goals behind us, and if we bang enough in in two weeks time you never know.

Who is more likely to have a man sent off early doors, us or them? I think it's them, as they are fond of the neck high tackle whether intentional or not. Pure Cork aggression from the very start is what's needed, and plenty of running at them by our speed (and goal) merchants.

1966 1986 1990 1999 Cork were serious underdogs in those finals, and we still came up trumps on the day. Only a very foolish person, would write off a Cork team in an all Ireland final! Limerick have been the best team in the last few years, but i'm not overly bothered about that. We should have beaten them in that infamous 2018 semi final, and we have the pace and skill to beat them.

Limerick will want to make it a physical battle, and that would be to their advantage. We just need to focus on playing this final on our terms, by stretching Limerick with our pace and skill, and nail those goal chances when they do come. If this team plays to it's full potential, then we will give Limerick an all mighty battle.

Exactly, and that's one of the reasons why I tip them to take down the green machine

Front page in the Echo today " Back where we belong" along with a few nice pictures of Cork supporters. No team belongs in Croke Park. It's is earned and in fairness Cork fully deserve it this year. Jury still out on mental fortitude. Left a 6 point lead slip again in the last 10 minutes. Just don't like lazy journalism. Proper heading would be back we we want to be. Promotes a sense of entitlement which comes with being a strong team traditionally. I would muck prefer the likes of Clare, Galway or Wexford to get to the final instead of Cork, Tipp or Kilkenny.

Anybody know if the 10 year premium tickets are valid for this year's final?

Minor match live on TG4 youtube channel.

Some start by the minors. A goal in the first 20 secs!

1-9 to 0-4 at the first water break

Waterford should have scored a goal but it was a great save. Mickey Finn cut a sideline over the bar

    Cork 1-17 Waterford 1-6 HT

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,547 ✭✭✭The White Feather

    Half time and its

    Cork 1-17 Waterford 1-6

Waterford scored a great goal but Cork well on top all over the pitch

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,244 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

Not a great second half display. Only 5 points scored in 20 minutes. Still well on top but that's a big drop off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,019 ✭✭✭lukin

The winners (Cork looking likely) are straight into the All-Ireland final. Against Galway or Kilkenny.

That's what I read on the bloodandbandage forum anyway.

Due to the postponement of the Tyrone v Kerry semifinal on Sunday, Cork ladies football v Meath will be part of a double header with the u20 football final in Croke Park on Sunday instead.

Ladies game throws in at 3:30 and will be on TG4

    Rebels Abu.

Envious of your lads (from a Waterford supporter)

WTF are ye doing for your hurling development. 3 AI finals in the one year and pure fight and determination in all the panels

    Whatever it is its working

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,547 ✭✭✭The White Feather

That was a great win by the minors. A great all round display.

Some great prospects all over. Jack Leahy looks like we tried to clone Patrick Horgan. Some lethal free taking. Hope he continues to impress.

Its great to see guys winning their own ball and fighting for it. Not leaving it to one guy. Ball winning as we all know is vital. Some great scoring from a lot of guys tonight.

We play the winner of Galway v Kilkenny who play Friday night.

Mental to see how well we're doing across all ages. Whatever they're doing inside in Rebel Óg is working!

First time we've had AI finalists at Senior, U21/20 and Minor in the same year since 1977.

Another fantastic win. I've said it before, I've tracked this minor team from a few years back and have been mightily impressed.

Great to see them win a Munster title and it will take some team to beat them in the final.

  • Registered Users Posts: 821 ✭✭✭Coneygree

Plenty fine players on that team but Jesus I hope to God Ben O' Connor stays hurling. He's something else.

The numbers in Cork had to come through eventually..

You knew it was coming when the Harty was contested by two Cork teams..

Still think big standard in the two semis.. Kilkenny gone back alarmingly

Shane Kingston has been voted hurler of the week

Here is the team for the Munster Minor football Final tomorrow against Limerick

Great start from Cork but now its 1-1 for Cork to 0-2 for Limerick at the first water break

Some really awful shooting from both sides. Simple points on but both sides somehow missing. Cork should have had another goal but somehow conspired to get it blocked for a 45 and it was then missed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,547 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Ref is terrible by the way. Gives every 50-50 a free kick to Limerick

    Cork 1-6 Limerick 0-5 HT

Standard seems very poor. Lot of misses and bad passes. Cork look better overall and should really be more ahead
