    Getting tickets for the Waterford game might be a bit tricky.

    Cork won both games at the Teddy Mac Tribute games.

    In the football,

    Cork 3-12 Meath 1-9

    And Hurling,

    Cork 4-22 Galway 0-24

    Match reports here below

    The double is on!

    I know its the lead up to Christmas but I thought it was a poor enough crowd

    Comfortable wins for Cork in both games as well. The attendance could've been better, but both Cork teams did their bit for the late and great Teddy Mac.

    I think the Galway team had no starters from their semi final defeat to Limerick earlier this year. It's a pity they didn't put out bit of a stronger team imo.

    Castlehaven v Dingle just started on TG4

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,119 ✭✭✭zetecescort

    Dingle 1 up at HT, Haven with the wind in the 2nd half

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,119 ✭✭✭zetecescort

    Going to extra time, 0-10 apiece

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,881 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

    Awful conditions for a game of football.

    Finished a draw 10 a piece. The 14 men of Castlehaven did well to force extra time.

    Dingle 3 up at ht. Wind with the Haven in 2nd half

    What a finish !!

    2 down with a minute left and they eek out a draw! Fair dues to Castlehaven, Dogged attitude displayed throughout.

    3 bad kicks in the last 5 minutes looked to have lost it for them but they dug deep.

    Great credit to them.

    Fantastic kicks from castlehaven to level it. Not easy even with that wind

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,465 ✭✭✭robbiezero

    Looked nearly impossible to score against the wind in ET.

    Great drama. Tough game in those conditions.

    Dingle probably annoyed over amount of injury time, but I think ref was right to add on a bit more for the deliberate delaying.

    CH sticking Conor Cahalane into goals for the pennos.

    Not sure I have seen that in GAA before.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,390 ✭✭✭UsBus

    Did cahalane do his hamstrings celebrating???

    Munster Club Senior Football Champions Castlehaven after penalties

    Munster Club Intermediate Football Champions Cill na Martra 3-12 v 0-10

    The Munster Junior final was contested by Kilmurry but as always, a Kerry team won that.

    A very good year for Cork football clubs in Munster !!

    1 point win for St Catherines in the Al Ireland Junior hurling semi final

    2 point win for Castlelyons in the Intermediate

    Glanmire lead 2-7 to 1-2 at HT in the Ladies football Intermediate final. On TG4

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,119 ✭✭✭zetecescort

    Big win for Glanmire in the end, 5-8 to 1-6

    O'Donovan Rossa in the Junior final tomorrow

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,881 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

    I knew a few years ago that Glanmire were going to come good. The numbers they had kept getting bigger and then they made the breakthrough and won the Junior All Ireland. No surprise that they went all the way again and are now All Ireland Intermediaye champions now too. Delighted for them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,119 ✭✭✭zetecescort

    Goal 5 min from the end helps Rossa to the win, 2-7 to 0-11

    Going nowhere with the centre forward selection. He been there too long and not good enough for years. We aren't going to win or challenge for All Ireland with him there imo.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,541 ✭✭✭The White Feather

    Well I would agree with your sentiment but this is the first game back and UCC have 5 guys that started Corks last match - Robert Downey, Ethan Twomey, Brian Hayes, Ger Millerick, and Shane Barrett. They have 4 from our U20 team starting - Bríon Saunderson, Shane Kingston, Seán Daly and Ben Cunningham. Others like William Buckley, Daniel Hogan, Eoin O’Leary and Ciarán Doolan are on the subs too. So its early days yet and good to see competition for places.

    This is the UCC team to play Cork

    Bríon Saunderson (Midleton);

    Ger Mellerick (Fr O'Neills), Shane Kingston (Ballinora), Seán Daly (Randal Óg);

    Joe Fitzpatrick (Dunnamaggin Kilkenny), Robert Downey (Glen Rovers), Luke Elliott (Sarsfields);

    Ethan Twomey (St Finbarr's), Cormac O’Brien (Newtownshandrum);

    Brian Hayes (St Finbarr's), Peter McGarry (St Mary's Clonmel, Tipperary), Ben Cunningham (St Finbarr's);

    Robbie Cotter (Blackrock), Shane Barrett (Blarney), Darragh Stakelum (Thurles Sarsfields, Tipperary).

    Subs: Jack McCarthy (St Finbarr's), Colm McCarthy (Sarsfields), Eddie Stokes (Doon, Limerick), Richie McEvoy (Lisdowney, Kilkenny), Eoin O’Leary (Glen Rovers), William Buckley (St Finbarr's), Fionn Coleman (Blackrock), Daniel Hogan (Sarsfields), Sam Cunningham (St Finbarr's), Ronan Fox (Ahane), Seán Moore (Carrickshock, Kilkenny), Mark Carey (Nenagh Éire Óg, Tipperary), Conor McGoldrick (Éire Óg), Ciarán Doolan (St Finbarr's), Matt Brady (Éire Óg).

    UCC came out on top today against Cork

    UCC 1-24 Cork 1-23

    A lot of Cork scorers/players on both sides so it seems it was a good runout
