Munster LGFA club final, Mourneabbey 0-8 Ballymacarbry 1-5HT. Long delay due to injury to Ballymac player at the start

Mourneabbey 1-16 Ballymacarbry 2-9 FT. Conceeded 1-2 at the start of 2nd half but came back well, sides were level with 5 min to go and kicked the last 4 points to win.

Cloughduv by 4 in the hurling.
Kilmacebea were a goal up with less than 10 left but didn't score again. Dromtariffe got a goal and a point to win by the slenderest of margins.

It certainly would, but I've not seen them play. I have seen their opposition and they would be worthy champions. Both teams are there on merit. Should be a cracker, hopefully the weather is good and doesn't ruin it.

Good win by Dromtarrife unbelievable to think they went on to win this. Winning the county for Dromtariffe is rare and similar to what Knocknagree did last year. You never know what can happen outside the county now it's bonus territory. Best of luck.

St Finbarrs 3-14 Duhallow 2-14 FT

I was at it. I think St. Finbarrs derserved their win especially in the 2nd half but it was a game I think Duhallow will have regrets about. Doyle in goals for them gifted St. Finbarrs 5 points. Including a goal and point in succession after each other, and another point earlier on, he had a nightmare of a game. Great game of football all the same and was a good contest.. I don't think the Barrs will beat Dr. Crokes if they do meet them in Munster but again you never know what can happen. Pretty shocking stuff charging 25 euro into P ui chaoimh today and parking is always a nightmare there.

It says employed by cork gaa as secretary since 1972. Was it a paid role?

How do you stay in a role for 46 years.

Yes paid, how much? Like QI, nobody knows. If you're club didn't toe the line, you got no match fixtures.
Legend in all sorts of ways.

Don't know a whole lot about him but from what I have read about him it definitely seems a step in the right direction

I think in the eyes of Cork supporters anyone bar Frank would be seen as a fantastic appointment, literally anyone.

Does the use of the word "employed" not give you a clue?

a good appointment but people need to be realistic about what one person can do.

who will be selected as O'Donovan's replacement as vice-chaiman is just as important, a nodding dog to stymie O'Donovan before he even starts or somebody to work with O'Donovan for the betterment of Cork GAA.

wins for Fermoy in Munster Intermediate football and Charleville in Intermediate hurling today

looking like Fermoy will be on course to meet Kilcummin of Kerry. Kilcummin should beat Fermoy well as they are probably the strongest team in this championship. Dr. Crokes Kilcummin and Beaufort all looking strong this year from Kerry in there respectable grades and can't see any of them teams being beaten.
