Anyone any thoughts on the Under 21 Football final on Saturday between Kilmurry and Nemo ?

    Finished a draw.

Nemo kicked a good few wides in the last 10 minutes when up a point. Kilmurry kicked a point from Eoghan Clifford, who won a junior hurling medal the week before, to level it.
Kilmurry were up 4 points in the first half but Nemo dominated the game once kilmurry scored their goal. Don't know when the replay will be.

I'd say about the early to mid 70's, not sure though.

Dont like the lack of a collar and the white square for the sponsor is terrible but that is a great jersey.

That crowd Tyrone Fabrication, were they involved in building those schools in Dublin that had to close suddenly in the last week or two ?

Jason Ryan to be a "consultant" to Ronan McCarthy. What in the name of God does that mean?

Western Building Systems is the co, unless they are connected.

Yeah, I hate the white square too... apart from that it's a simple enough design and looks ok.

Barrs match v Crokes on in 10 mins on TG4

Awful first half from the Barrs. 2-11 v 1-03 down at ht

Their defending has been truly awful. Crokes have gone down the middle of the pitch time and time again without a hand being out on them. Their fowards simply tap the ball over from in front of the post.

Shields had started well but had to go off as did a defender which would have unsettled them. 1 if not 2 of the Crokes points I thought were clearly wide but were given and a very clear 45 a was given as a wide against the Barrs. Outside of that, Crokes are well on top and should push on in the second half, damage limitation and no more for the Barrs now.

    Ft Crokes 5-20 v 1-11 Barrs.

As expected, no let up from Crokes, great performance from them.
One to forget in a hurry for the Barrs.

Yet again, another example of a poor, poor football performance from a Cork team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,551 ✭✭✭SeaFields

The gulf in skill and class very evident. Crokes are a class act and have it in their first fifteen and off the bench. The Barr's will want to be back over the county bounds as quick as possible.

Edit - I just saw in the gaa Facebook page that all of crokes 5-20 was from play. Didn't notice that while watching it tbh.

Christ if that Barrs team is the best in the county then it shows how poor football in Cork is these days. Those lads were an embarrassment today

Cork football have no one to blame only themselves. Plenty of useless personnel involved in positions they have no right to be involved in Cork GAA. They know SFA about football. We are miles behind Kerry in all levels of the sport. Disgraceful. Not enough done underage and this is always the case when you compare Cork footvall to Kerry. We have nearly twice the population of Kerry and yet we struggle to field teams to challenge Kerry. Cork football is a joke and I'm not wasting my money watching any Cork football team play again. I was in killarney today for the game. To say i am disappointed is an understatement. This game will do the Crokes no good when they meet tougher tests in the championship but they look unreal so far destroying every team they have played.

On a brighter note Fermoy won through to the Intermediate Munster final and Inniscarra won the Munster Camogie final

To be fair, most teams that win their first county championship in 30 years go out in the first round of inter county. They got their goal for the year, no interest in AI I suspect

Not if that team is good enough in the first place. History means nothing. You are either good enough or you aren't. Try saying that to the Mayo boys who always lose All Ireland Finals.

Best wishes to Lorcan McLaughlin on his retirement. Perhaps not the most stylish but a really good, honest hurler who gave his all
