Dublin lost today too, so they should also be concerned right? If you genuinely think today is going to have an impact when it comes to championship you need your head checked bud.

Dublin have a 3rd string team on they are in no panic. Cork havent anything much better in reserve and need all success to go their way. I think you are just a Cork yes man fan who can't see the real picture ahead for Cork gaa. Take off the blinkers lad.

    Depressing

These lads have been running around the 4g down the pairc since the summer and they go out and produce this deal ...6 scores in a full game.....aside from the abysmal coaching, lack of tactical knowledge and absence of game management they are still not properly conditioned which is some failure of management.
Both teams today are division 3 bound

Cork footballers should be putting teams like Fermanagh away with minimal fuss. The hurlers were in a semi final last year that they could have won and they play a pretty average kilkenny team today no where as good as kilkenny teams in the past and they get destroyed. Are you telling me that's acceptable at league level? Because I don't. I didn't see much positivity today with the hurlers except for hoggie who is the greatest Cork Hurler never to win an All Ireland. For the footballers, God help us where has it all gone wrong?

I wasn't at the game and have just read the reports of the match. I get the sense that Kilkenny wanted to show they are back in the mix and Cork were not really bothered.I could be way off though.

It's hard to know what to think really. If Cork were really going for it then its very worrying especially to not have it even close at the end. But bear in mind goals win games and it seems a great save kept Cork out at one stage.

When we are not in the know, it depends on how far each team are along in their preparation. The next game will be key now for us as I wouldn't be too worried about the first game. A second loss will be really bad as I would expect a bounce back. It was at Kilkenny so it was always going to be hard.

I wouldn't be writing the season off as it seems to be feast or famine on this forum. We have seen teams beat everyone in the league and collapse at the championship stage but also every other variable like teams not winning much in league and doing great come the championship.

The next game against Wexford will be tough but we are at home so I would expect a lot more so we will have to see.

As for the footballers, I have said before that I have zero confidence in them. I was actually thinking "wow we got a draw" which shows what I think of them.

Great to see Alan Cadogan back playing for Cork!

Is Stephen McDonnell injured or just dropped completely? He isn't even on the bench

Not sure how wise it is to play O’Halloran and Coleman a couple days after Fitz!

Is mikey Cahalane still on the panel?

I’m sure I saw Meyler quoted before the game last week in the paper saying he was injured.

Story with tickets later lads? Is there tickets at the gate or do you have to buy in advance? I've only been to the new Pairc whenever you had to buy tickets days in advance.

There's a ticket desk, you can pick them up in a SuperValu/Centra as well though.

What do we think of Frank (as gaeilge) winning €3000 in the latest clubs draw? :pac:

Not there, but just got a text to say the pitch is in an awful condition, cutting up badly during the football, will be like a ploughed field for the hurling.

  • Registered Users Posts: 213 ✭✭Pos087

Won’t make the game today what’s the crowd like. I have a feeling we are getting so bogged down with strengthening our squad that we forgetting about or biggest problem in the last ten years of will 50/50 ball and getting cleaned out in the arial battle. Kilkenny back line last week cleaned us out. Out back line is getting scrutinized but if you consider the amount of ball that came straight back at them because we don’t have forwards that can win the ball they didn’t do to bad without Seamus Harnedy I would guess we win under 25% of ball into the forwards. I feel a major issue here is Nash is pucking the ball out to fellas that are being marked by 2 men. Danny K must have got 5 puck outs towards him and he being marked by 2 men over 6 foot. Watching limerick last night they look miles ahead of us in terms of winning primary position. Sorry if this sounds negative but I honestly think this team has an all Ireland in them but only if we train winning the ball.

Saw a few pics of the pitch, cutting up quite a bit. Not too surprised the footballers couldn't beat 14 man kildare. Relegation on the way.

Just turned on C103 at the end of the football and they were saying the pitch was in a bad way after the football.
