Before the match they were saying that we haven't scored any goals and now we have 2 already. We have been just doing enough but we are against the wind.

We do need to pick it up a bit but Cadogan has been fouled at least twice and nothing given. We just want to get out with a win as this is a potential banana skin when everyone expects you to win

Really poor defending has gifted them 2 goals

    Cork 2-30 Waterford 2-17 FT

A game that I'm glad is over and we ran out easy winners. Lot of nice scores but a few bad things. We let them get 2 easy goals. Nash in particular had a poor game with his puck outs in the first half and I don't think he comes out quick enough for both goals. Both were hit in only yards out and he should be commanding that area.

Lot of good things too as we now seem to have a lot of quality coming off the bench. Kingston looked really sharp and took scores that made it look very easy. Lehane came on too.

Cooper, Horgan , Harnedy, Cadogan, Coleman, Fitgibbon all payed very well. The main thing is to get the win as these games are very strange with Waterford in such disarray. Our attack is looking very strong.Horgan is just so good to watch

There was a very strange feel to that game, can’t describe it.

Strange game. SOD came in for a lot of stick in the past few weeks. I thought he was excellent tonight’s. NOL is the find of the summer. My man of the match. Hopefully Clare do us a favor tomorrow.

Agreed I was happy for SOD bouncing back tonight after the limerick game. He was nearly caught for a goal with Bennett early on maybe he needs some work defending high deliveries in. But I'm pretty sure he kept his man scoreless and didn't give away any frees, that's a good days work for any corner back.

A question that came to me during the game - what ever happened Michael Cahalane from bandon? Is he on the extended panel, injured or not in the managements plans?

would a limerick win not be better for cork tomorrow , if three teams are on 4 points scoring average comes into play , so in other words if clare lose tomorrow they would have to beat cork by 13 points in the last game to overtake them

assuming that limerick lose their final game in thurles

Why would you assume that though?
Tipp have been excellent so far but there's very little between them and Limerick and they may well put out some panel members for the last group game if already guaranteed a place in the final.

A Clare win guarantees us to qualify going into the last game

Tipp will be greatly changes for Limerick match so I would expect Limerick to get to six

If Clare beat us then we would be out due to head to head

i would obviously prefer a clare win tomorrow also , it would then guarantee both cork and clare a place in the next phase , and turn the final group game into a munster semi final

Who are they kidding with 24,000 attendance. A mate went to ticket kiosk and was told that the two stands sit 24,000 and were full. There was up to 10,000 in blackrock end. I know fiddling the attendance in common but this was taking the you know what. I’m proud of the large support we give our hurlers and I like when this is acknowledged. With little Waterford support the numbers of cork support was very impressive.

Here trying to figure out who would it suit Cork to win today. Clare or Limerick?

100% we want Clare to win. It looks like we will have to go to Ennis and get something. Depending on the Tipp v limerick. I can’t see Tipp fielding a full team as why would they show their hand to limerick. Ennis won’t be an easy game next week. I wouldn’t be surprised if our year ended in Ennis next week.

I'd be absolutely shocked if that happened.

going on todays display if we cant beat them next week we don't deserve to progress. Similar to last night, complacency will be our biggest problem

Is it head to head or score difference that settles 3rd should we lose to Clare next week?

Head to head if Limerick beat Tipp. Two from Lim, Cork and Clare if Tipp beat Lim.

head to head if 2 teams tied, score difference if 3 or more tied on points
